Al lovely country pub with a great ambience. We went for Sunday lunch with friends. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was great. Plus there was a good selction of cask ales. Fantastic!

We came and ate for dinner. Lovely log fire and a very local feeling. Wow the fish and chips were better that any chip shop. Very friendly service. Make sure you book a table if eating. We look forward to eating here again.

Went for an evening meal with a party of seven at short notice. As it was Friday night the place was buzzing which created a fabulous atmosphere. The cask beer is good and the food and service was excellent. I had the fresh baked salmon followed by the cheeseboard which was massive.

If there is anything that eases a 240ml journey up North from Somerset its the thought of a two night stay at the Blue Bell Lound. My wife and I stayed here a few weeks ago and were so impressed with the standard of accommodation, and it wasn't surprising therefore to see that standards have not fallen and the usual courtesies...

Recently spent 2 nights whilst visiting relatives. On arrival the room looked very nice which was the only good point of our stay. We were advised not to go through the gate into the back of the pub but walk through the outside gate to get to the car park as the pub dogs weren't very friendly. We let our...

Adequate accommodation for 1 night - a bit of a trek from car park with luggage. DYO breakfast in room (check that fridge is turned on) is a time saver. However, the only way we knew that this was the way breakfast was organised was reading it in a review - I could not find it on website & was...

Rang up for a table and was so pleased they could get us in. We have not had Sunday lunch before. But I now know it will be our first place to call. We were given the menu and I can say for Sunday lunch you get a good choice. We were all set to have 2 courses but we...

Visited last night 10/8/16 for a meal only did not stay over night with seven friends for a joint birthday celebration. As usual they never fail on quality of food and service. Could do with more choice for vegetarians and those with intolerance but at least the helpful waitresses took the time and efforts to check with the chef what was...
