We chose Barracrab because it was so close to the beach and we wanted to avoid stopping in larger towns on our road trip. We stayed in unit 17 which I think may have received some less than favourable reviews in the past. Unit 17 is positioned close to the beach with kitchen, lounge area and two bedrooms. The larger...

Ok to stay if passing thru. Sites a bit small and instead of spreading out campers a lot were put side by side when plenty of room. Seems to be a popular fishing spot. Bathrooms were a bit untidy and our campsite bin hadn't been emptied but only minor things, otherwise a nice stop.

What a beautiful spot, and a favourite with friends and family!! We may only live down the road but we come here regularly. The food is always generous in proportions, the staff friendly and helpful and the views amazing with facilities for camping. They also have cabins and are pet friendly... well worth the stop and stay!!

Read about Clairview in a Caravan Mag and thought, "That'll do me..!!! " When we drove up from South of Brisbane on Dec 27th, we were expecting the Park to be full.....Not so....We managed to get a Beachfront, Powered site for our Caravan, for 2 nights, the moment we rang up. Julie & Russell were very helpful, as were all...

Awesome spot right on the beach with fantastic views and lovely poinsettia trees. Clean amenities, friendly staff and great food in the ocean front bistro. Only set-back was the march-flies. Pet friendly too which is a bonus.

Our little family of 4 needed a place to lay our heads for the night on a long road trip and we found a great little place here. The family cabin was lovely and clean, the beers at the bar were icy cold and the owners were super friendly. At the end of a long day we relaxed staring out...

We got a great shady powered site (no.4) and had a lovely view of the beach. Kids loved the playground right next to us. Nice ocean breeze all night. One of the cheapest powered sites we've had. Definitely recommend.

Highly discomforting park with a hazard of the local crocs and an unswimmable beach, owners are disrespectful, NO DRINKING WATER in powered sites, and it seems that the locals turn up to the pub after work. My wife and I would much rather camp on the side of the main highway (Bruce highway) without any facilities, DO NOT RECOMEND THIS...

Hi Reynold. Unfortunately we are unable to control what is in the ocean however we do make it known to all of our visitors about the potential risks and hazards in our countries ocean. In terms of drinking water there is ample water available at the restaurant/reception only a few meters from the camping sites so we are confident that...

Don't be fooled by the glossy brochures depicting a beautiful beachside caravan park. Make sure you read the fine print with this one; Whilst the beach is quite picturesque the beach is inhabitable for humans as there is a healthy local population of crocs..stingers are the least of your worries The rustic dining amenity adds a nice dimension to the...

We stayed in cabin 17 on 8th Nov for $120. Cabin was quite run down and not all that clean. Inside cupboards etc have not been cleaned and very old crockery/cutlery. All needs replacing and get rid of items that don't work. Staff and food good. Awesome views. We were told that the cabin was to be updated. On our...
