We stayed in cabin 17 on 8th Nov for $120. Cabin was quite run down and not all that clean. Inside cupboards etc have not been cleaned and very old crockery/cutlery. All needs replacing and get rid of items that don't work. Staff and food good. Awesome views. We were told that the cabin was to be updated. On our... More

Great surprisingly scenic caravan and cabin park. Staff extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Great meals and a place where many of the locals hang out. Great sunrises and a beautiful place when the tide is in. Fun environment.

I am sorry to write this bad review because the staff and meals were great. BUT!!!! The only ensuite 2 bedroom cabin (17 )is not fit to be let. Filthy.....and very, very old and dilapidated. I had to wash down benches myself before I would even make a cuppa. Floors were not washed, shower grout brown. Curtains torn. Furniture should go... More

Have stopped many times previously at Claireview picnic ground but this time decided to stay at the Caravan Park overnight. Although traveling in a camper van we chose to stay in a cabin. How delightfully clean & refreshing it was. Had a meal in the bar and this too was very good. Mackerel fillets & a salad very fresh &... More

The camp-site has the usual amenities that you should expect from a site, but it is a really remote place. Seventy eight kms from a supermarket. If you are staying go provided, although a few basic items are available from the site shop.Fuel up before arriving as the nearest supply is 26 kms away. Nonetheless everyone is friendly, helpful and... More

Sitting on the beach this caravan park has truly magnificent ocean views. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have interesting international tourists as neighbours, so it was nice to have a glass of wine with them, watching rising moon. Clean amenities, water only bore or rain, so bring drinkable water with you. No sand flies.

I always read trip advisor reviews before staying anywhere but it was difficult to know what to expect at Barracrab Caravan Park due to mixed reviews. So we decided to find out for ourselves. My husband and I were traveling from Gympie to Mackay and tossed up whether to break up the drive by staying in Rockhamptom or drive another... More

Stayed for one night, were especially content with the genuine interest and talkative staff. The owner even offered lending us tools to get down coconuts On the palms. Way to utilise your surroundings and meet our typical tourist needs. Great view, food looked good too. Prices are also very fair for powered sites.
