I stayed here 5 nights with my husband and 2 teenage sons, I am going to start out by saying I was happy with my stay and I will return but I would like to offer some constructive criticism :) It would be nice to have some service in the glamping tents, fresh towels that type of thing, I had...

First time off road driving meant we were nervous at the start. 10 mins in and we loved it! Amazing island paradise with the most beautiful sea we have swam in! Castaways is a busy hub, being the only shop within 30mins drive. The owners are amazingly helpful and accomodating - we asked for an extra hour before checkout and...

We recently spent 5 nights at Casterways Glamping and for our first time we were nothing but impressed. Great location with a short stroll to the Bulwer wrecks for a swim or snorkel. The Glamping accomation and facilities were top notch not to mention the friendly staff and yummy food at Casterways .

Glamping with 3 generations. Worked great for everyone. Enjoyed communal kitchen and cooking facilities. Close to beach. A little bit of civilization for grown ups appreciated. Delicious dinner at local cafe on site.

A great family getaway, the Glamping tents have everything you need, the hospitality of Dani, Nathan, Rebecca and Josh was fantastic, nothing was to hard, the food was tasteful and plentiful. We did venture down to Tangalooma for dinner one night and we were disappointed at the cafeteria style tasteless, mass produced food we received . Thanks to the castaway...

We didnt stay at Castaways but visited the shop there on numerous occasions over three weeks. The staff were ALWAYS super friendly and made you feel like a long lost friend every time you walked through the door. They have everything you need for an extended camping trip including gas, fuel, firewood even grog. A good selection of beer and...

We have just returned from four nights glamping at Castaways. We are a family of four (2 teenagers 13 & 15). The tents are clean, spacious and well equipped. The old zippers have been replaced, so we had no trouble. Comfortable beds (if you like a firm mattress) kids beds were very comfy. Great hot showers in the en suites...

Glamping with the family for the 3rd time was amazing, always so much fun. Tents are clean and very comfortable. The tents are showing their age though, zippers are playing up but didn't stop the experience. Communal kitchen was clean and convenient. Thanks again for an amazing holiday.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you love the idea of getting out into the great outdoors but can't stand the creepy crawlies, sandy bed or thought of needing a shovel to go to the toilet, glamping's probably the answer! We've got 9 beautifully furnished tents, complete with a queen size bed, private ensuite and veranda overlooking the giant Moreton Melaleuca trees. When you're glamping, there's no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, no fire to build! Glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing luxury. The beach is just a short stroll from your front door (well, tent flap), you can grab a meal at the on-site cafe, cook on the communal barbie in the camp kitchen or just put your feet up and enjoy a glass of wine knowing you're not facing another night of sleeping on a half inflated blow-up! We have a mixture of 2 person and 4 person tents nestled amongst the giant Melaleuca trees of Moreton Island, with pristine beaches 100 metres from your door. A Glamp kitchen is also available for our guests to use, including tea & coffee making facilities & Barbeques. If you are bringing your own 4WD vehicle, Bulwer is a short drive to the Cape Moreton Lighthouse (see the whales in season)Champagne Rock Pools and Honeymoon Bay, which are some of the most spectacular sights on the Island. No 4wd? No problem, we can arrange on Island tours that include snorkelling amongst amazing amounts of beautiful fish at the wrecks and sandboarding down massive sand dunes. Castaways has an on-site restaurant so you'll never go hungry as well as a convenience store for all your holiday essentials. Moreton Island is a secret holiday paradise! ... more   less
