We stayed for two nights in the suite named for Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Despite being a third floor dormer, this two-room suite was spacious and comfortable. The bed was firm but not hard and the linens soft and warm, though the pillows were unremarkable. We'd recommend that guests bring their own pillows, if possible. The jetted hot tub was huge,...

This is a unique place to stay! We had the Agatha Christie Suite, and it really transports you back in time. It felt like we were main characters on "The Orient Express"! The suite is luxurious, with attention paid to so many lovely details. A steam bath, a spacious bathroom from the 30's with beautiful decor and a large whirlpool...

My NEW fiancé and I stayed here the night of our engagement and couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was super helpful and anticipated all our needs. They offered up a champagne chiller, flutes, wine glasses and a flower vase. We stayed in the Lord Byron suite and it was perfect. Had a great whirlpool tub, warm fire,...

This was the third time we stayed at the Rivertown Inn and they continued to impress. We love the social hour and the three course breakfast has never failed to disappoint. The Chef is more than accommodating on dietary needs and we have met some great people during our stays here. In terms of We stayed in the Lewis Carroll...

We just spent two nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. We took a "Cocktail Party" cooking class that was very good--can't wait to use what we learned for holiday entertaining. The breakfasts were delicious and the chefs did an amazing job of catering to all of our dietary needs. Definitely a two thumbs up!

I surprised my husband for his 40th Birthday with a romantic getaway. Rivertown Inn was the perfect place to escape to. We stayed in the carriage house in the Oscar Wilde room. They really thought of everything. The room has two fireplaces, a huge jet tub, and a sauna to name a few amenities. We were unable to get the...

Great attention to every detail making the experience wonderful. The breakfast was a wonderful experience with the chef which sets this B & B apart from the rest. Having a fireplace in the room was a special treat too.

The greeting appetizers and wine were wonderful. The room was very beautiful. We were disappointed that the "private" bath meant there was a curtain segregating the toilet, not a room with a door. The hot water was plentiful and filled the large tub in the room with ease. We slept long and hard forgetting about stress and everyday chores. We...

This was a hard rating to give because our opinion of this B & B changed dramatically when we were served our breakfast. First off, the room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite, which gave us extra privacy as it is located in the carriage house (only one other couple roomed over there). The grounds were lovely,...

My husband and I first stayed here on our wedding night 6 years ago, and have spent four out of five anniversaries here since then. It is, in my opinion, unparalleled. We typically stay in one of the Carriage House suites (Agatha Christie or Oscar Wilde), because you get more space and a larger, fancier bathroom... but the main house...
