Cabins are well maintained, clean, and sit right at the lakes edge&reasonably priced. As for the other review above that complained about cleaning...these are housekeeping cabins and that is expected.

Used to go here when I was a kid and just took my wife and kids on a trip and stayed in cabin 7 for a week while my parents and aunt and uncle stayed in cabin 4. Wonderful place that has been well maintained and taken care of as well as upgraded. The view and closeness to the lake...

Beautiful, yet simple cabin with a real wood burning fireplace. We found out cabin to be clean and comfortable with terrific views of the lake from large windows. The kitchen was equipped well enough to prepare most meals, the bathroom was nicely done and the beds were good. We would appreciate the option of a King sized bed, but none...

We were treated not like guests, or paying customers, but instead like pests. At check in and out they were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. To the point of insulting. We were scolded like children. We were forced to clean like maids. I understand not having a full cleaning service but leaving us a chore list and making us clean to...

Went there for a grooms dinner and we pulled up to the cabins and the owner came running out of his house saying that there is to many people here visiting and you guys have to leave right this minute. After we said fine we are leaving we told the owner that he needs to get out of our face...

What a beautiful experience! This property is mostly available by the week but often has a weekend available. We came on a Friday night and went straight to our cabin, it more then surpassed my expectations! First of all, I am a stickler for cleanliness. I expect any lodging to be cleaner then my home, it should be near perfect...

These are some of the nicest cabins I have ever seen. So beautiful, spacious and clean. I can't say enough about how much my sister, my Mom and myself enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to go back. My sister and I are going up for our annual winter Birthday trip and the end of February. One more thing, the people...

We spent 2 nights at Castlehaven and it was amazing. The cabins are all perfectly placed with beautiful views of Lake Superior. It is conveniently located near Gooseberry Falls and other fun places along the shore. The cabin had plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids and had a very clean bathroom with shower. One evening we built...

We've just booked our fourth Christmas break trip to Castle Haven Cabins. There's room for a family, but for the cost of a couple. Payed just 125 a night, which included a two bedroom, full kitchen and living room, dining area, and WOOD fireplace. It's especially cheaper for extended Winter stays, as you can save a lot of money on...
