We were wonderfully received by Don the owner, we arrived late and the first thing he asked was wether we had eaten yet. When we said no he told us to hurry up and he would take us to a place we had never been in a means of transportation we had never been in.. ten minutes later, off we...

A very nice, quiet space a two-block walk from the Great River Shakespeare Festival. Host Don was enthusiastic about our arrival, graciously welcomed our daughter to breakfast, and very helpful about local history, events, and directions to places of interest. Breakfasts were delicious. Previous stays at local motels cannot compare to our 3-day stay at the Carriage House B&B.

Very good, attentive service upon arrival and during our stay. Room was small (knew that ahead of time) but well appointed and comfortable. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with several other guests. We were able to spend some time in the gazebo visiting with a friend who is in Winona - appreciated having a comfortable place where we could sit and...

The Carriage House is a convenient, comfortable place to stay in Winona. Beautiful Lake Winona is only a few minutes away. And during the months of July and August, the Carriage House is across the street from the Great River Shakespeare Festival. Besides my comfortable room, I particularly enjoyed the artisan breakfast served each morning. One morning, the breakfast was...

The adjoining rooms added to our time together. Host Don was exceptionally welcoming and his breakfast souffle very delicious. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the backyard gazebo and flowers. Parking was convenient. Downtown 5 walkable blocks away. The Maritime Art Museum holds many original Impressionist paintings.

We were thrilled with our visit at Carriage House, great price compared to two of hotels in town with much more ambiance and charm! Don and Tara were delightful, our room (Toy Room) was the smallest one in the carriage house but very comfortable and more than adequate...Breakfast was fabulous! We sat outside in the darling covered back yard area...

We feel very fortunate to have found this treasure in Winona and have stayed with Don and Tara, his daughter, (with their fond memories of a dear wife and mother who started the B&B 30 years ago) the last two years that we have attended priestly ordinations in this beautiful area of the country. As the seminary is moving to...

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. Don is a great host with a lovely property. We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived and Don told where we should go eat and reminded us to visit the Marine museum for which the bed and breakfast comped us the admission fee! Thank you Don and your staff! We'll...

Everything was great! I came for a writing retreat and Tara was very attentive and even told me how to recreate the delicious and impressive souffle I had for breakfast. Really enjoyed the wine, the backyard, and the bathtub (I would have enjoyed the bikes too but it was thunderstorming).

No hotel can measure up to the the warm reception you receive when you arrive! This is a beautiful building and with wonderful owners! We stayed in Deb's room and loved all the details. Although we did not have enough time to enjoy the bottle of wine we were impressed with the nice touch. The hospitality and location were wonderful...
