Wow what an hotel! When you are on a tour you kind of expect to be staying in fairly ordinary hotels but not on this occasion. This small hotel proved to be the exception with beautiful and large rooms in this very sleepy southern town who's only real claim to fame was the bridge from Bobbie Gentry's song and the...

We took a scenic drive from Memphis (not on I-55) to historic Greenwood. On entering the Alluvian my wife immediately got her "dreamy eyed happy look". The boutique hotel has a New Orleans style courtyard, chic lobby and sitting areas, and stunning Delta art with paintings by Bill Dunlap. The large rooms have comfortable mattresses and exclusive linens, robes, and...

What an amazing stay! Spa was fabulous, I mean FABULOUS! Just what we needed, a vaca away from the kids. Thanks Alluvian! Great customer service and very nice room. Spa was spacious, clean, quiet, professional, classy, and stocked with all the necessities.

Hotel is very nice, upper-class, spacious rooms (we've stayed in several rooms, almost all seem to be different). One of the better hotels I've ever stayed in. Entire staff is friendly. Complimentary breakfast is vast. Hard to keep the egg casseroles hot however. My one complaint is the cost of the drinks at the hotel bar-I would bring my own...

Stayed only one night for early birthday gift to Husband to attend the Viking Cooking School which is only 10 steps across the street from the hotel. I had to call to reserve a room as there was none listed on the website. Upon arriving, the lobby was quiet (but stylish). The lady that checked me in didn't say hi...

We just returned from an overnight stay at The Alluvian. It was a very nice hotel but not special enough for a 4 hour return visit nor the almost $300.00 a night price tag for a Jr. suite. I read review after review before going, and was a bit let down by the whole experience. The room and hotel were...

...in an area that feels like you're stepping back in time. For some time, I have wanted to visit Greenwood and stay at The Alluvian. So many friends have recommended it and have described wonderful stays there along with visits to the Spa and the Viking Cooking School. Fortunately, The Alluvian management made a generous donation for a fund raiser...

wonderful little hotel in an out of the way town. great for a special occasion or treat. staff very helpful, rooms clean and very comfortable. they have a spa which my wife enjoyed very much. as for dining, i would recommend choosing a restaurant elsewhere in town rather than the attached giardina's. luscos or crystal grill are wonderful options.

This was our second trip to the Alluvian -- about 10 years apart. The hotel is still an excellent choice to stay ... if you have a reason to be in Greenwood. Great accommodations, wonderful amenities and an excellent breakfast buffet.
