The Old Capitol Inn is a beautiful, unique place to stay...if you don't mind the low level of cleanliness and the registration personnel that really do not care about the quality of your stay. The manager, David, was more helpful. I had made our reservations online through their website. When I did not receive a confirmation email, I called the...

I came to Jackson for a scientific conference, held at the Marriott downtown. Previous reviews drew me to the Old Capitol Inn, just four blocks up Amite Street, instead. I loved the Old Capitol Inn! My room was a suite, overlooking North State Street, including a quaint balcony looking south, towards the Old Capitol Museum. Being from Detroit, I had...

Loved my suite at the inn. The decor was very relaxing and the bed extremely comfortable. The rooftop bar and garden looked like such fun, but I couldn't really enjoy them due to the weather. Included buffet breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Came to Jackson for a conference. Stayed here because the boss suggested it (one of her favs). Wonderfully accommodating staff. However, I found a pair of boxer shorts under my bed when I accidentally kicked a shoe under it. I found the humor and went to ask for a garbage bag. A housekeeper was sent immediately to take care of...

We stayed here on our road trip through the southern US States. We had room 7 at the front of the hotel which was well appointed spacious and comfortable. The welcome was great and all the staff friendly. There is a beautiful garden in which to relax and a very good buffet breakfast what more could a weary travelled want....

Our executive board meets for 3 days every summer for a retreat and we have this at a different destination every year. This visit was one of our best because the hotel is small and easy for us to visit between meetings.

We stayed one night in the Old Capitol Inn while attending a wedding reception there. The room was nicely decorated and had a Juliet balcony overlooking a lovely garden area. The bathroom was clean, but small - as you would expect in a historic property. The rooftop garden / bar is also a gem, but only serves drinks on Wednesday...

Great room going at a great rate for a suite and stayed in same hotel coming back through and the room was very small but paid the same rate. Plan ahead and ask for a suite. The hotel was immaculate and the historic quality was worth the risk of staying downtown. The area was a little suspect but turned out...

If you plan to stay in Jackson, MS and are particularly expecting to be in the downtown area (or even if you're not), you need to strongly consider this hotel. This quaint and lovely boutique hotel has a bed and breakfast feel, extremely friendly atmosphere, personal service, attention to detail, and all the southern charm you can handle. I've stayed...

This is a nice place to stop while driving East on I-20. About two miles off the highway. Located in downtown, capital building is within sight. Three story red brick building. Well landscaped and attractive. Gated parking with easy access to the lobby via front drive for check in. Lobby appears clean and is well decorated. Happy hour consists of...
