We dined on the first evening in the restaurant and I had probably the 2nd best steak ever (the best being in Toronto). All in all the meal was excellent and I even had a dessert which is rare. On the second night we just wanted a "simpler" bar type meal but even though there were 3 areas to eat,...

Staying just down the road from The Manor, we decided to pop in just for a drink. Sat outside in a lovely garden (we have a dog) on a beautiful September afternoon, we decided to have lunch. We chose the baguettes. I had Brie, bacon an cranberry and my wife had local Dorset Cheddar with homemade ale chutney. They came...

A quaint little gem off the beaten path with a great, secluded garden which is a perfect spot for tea and scones in the late summer sun. We have been a couple of times now, and hopefully we can visit again very soon!

This was a chance find on our last night following a short break exploring Dorset. Great location, lovely room, superb food and friendly and professional service. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, a short walk to the sea and very peaceful. Great place to recharge and unwind.

Found quite by accident, whilst visiting the beach. Really well worth a visit. Nice menu and landlord. Very quirky. Unbelievably clean loos. We will be back. Don't tell everyone what a gem this is... Handy as a stepping stone for a visit to the beach..

The Manor, is a quirky old place with a beautiful setting just a few hundred yards from the sea in a very quiet hamlet. Our room was spotlessly clean with a lovely view across a garden to the sea. So what's not to like. Perhaps it was the overcomplicated menu, lots of unnecessary added "cheffy" touches to fish and meat...

This was our second visit to The Manor and we enjoyed it as much as our first. Nice, comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and views of the sea. We loved the Cellar Bar and the 'Secret Garden' - a great outside area that reserved is for the use of guests and those who have pre-booked tables. We were lucky enough to...

We stopped here for drinks, lovely old house with bar in the caller, we sat outside to admire the view. Lovely pot of tea available. I did have a little look about when using the facilities and it looked very nice, a boutique type hotel.

A quaint, 16C Manor House, all steps and passageways but no ghosts that we detected. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. Not for you if you have any mobility issues. Otherwise, almost perfect in a beautiful location. And the weather was glorious!
