We rented a cabin here and it was supposed to be pet friendly, our dog found a tray full of rat poison they had in the bedroom my wife and kids got to witness me induce vomiting for our dog and we got to rush her to the vet. The place wouldn't even pay a $85 vet bill but they...

Our apology for the lack of communication. The main office approved the staff request to reimburse you for the vet bill. Not sure where the ball was dropped but someone will be in touch. A conversation has also been had with the pest control company about placement of bait stations. Glad your pet was ok.

Our family camped at the Compton Ridge Campground over Spring break 2013. We took advantage of the indoor heated pool (that was very clean and warm) and the shuttle service to Silver Dollar City. The staff was friendly and considerate and the campsites were large and well maintained. At that time of the year, the campground wasn't very full so...

We used to camp at Compton and had a favorite spot. The Sims family used to run it and one year we had forgotten to make reservations and they contacted us to see if we wanted it that year! I was an early riser and old man Sims made sure that I was invited to share sunrise coffee with him...

Our apologies for what you experienced 3 years ago. Things have changed for the better. The breakfast food prepared in the Whistle Stop Cafe is all prepared fresh, be it eggs, bacon, or pancakes. Our staff is eager to serve our guest anyway possible. We think you would be pleased.

We stay here very often. Nice campground, clean restrooms/showers. The swimming pools (indoor & outdoor) are always clean and there is a nice playground for kids along with tennis courts, basketball goals. The campsites are so nice, the ones we usually pick have a little shelter area with a picnic table and fire ring. Lots of trees all around and...

We had 2 adults our two 17 yr olds & our 15 yr old. We stayed in the lodge for one night which is a little older but still a good place to stay. Then we stayed 4 days in the deluxe cabin which was very nice and has alot of room. There are 3 pools one of those is...

I was unable to find vacancy anywhere else around SDC, so after reading all the reviews, I decided to take my chances. I booked a luxury cabin at Compton Ridge for the 6 of us (2adults, and 4 teenagers). We were very much surprised with how cute this little cabin was! The layout was great, and the screened in porch...

Our 50+ member family reunion was held at Compton Ridge. The facility was nice in that it was able to accommodate both our camping and non-camping family members. It was also nice because it was not crowded, so our group had the pool mostly to ourselves. While we thought the lack of a crowd was unusual during peak season, we...

We are so sorry you had this poor experience with the old owners. We have reopened under the new ownership of Ocean Canyon Properties and are committed to making you feel welcome and appreciated at our campground. We hope you give us a second chance!

Great place with great people! We loved this campground so much and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c of no gym on site. (So hard to workout while RV-ing if campgrounds don't have little gyms, and it was 100 degrees outside.) I did still run and walk the campground daily and the paved roads were...

We just left this morning from Compton Ridge......this was about our 5th camping experience so not sure what is bad? We were there 4 nights and did not interact with the employees much, but when we did they were very nice and helpful. We were in the north campground and our camper was near the bathhouse and the pool which...
