We stayed in one of the guest houses with our infant. We greatly enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed wine on the patio and walking about the peaceful property. The breakfast was delicious. We didn't take part in the dinner, but I would recommend it and try it next time. All the food we had was unique and delicious. Our...

My wife and I stayed at the Alpenhorn for the first time and would definitely go back. Hard to say which was best: (1) The attention to detail in the high-quality accommodations, (2) the friendliness of Adrian the proprietor; or (3) the absolutely delicious breakfasts. Oh and the beautifully restored old buildings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique...

We loved staying here. We stayed in the King's Room. It was very spacious with an electric fireplace, amazingly soft sheets, and nice towels. Adrian and Kate's B&B is cozy, peaceful, and very clean. They have sheep and chickens on the property. We went up to visit the sheep every morning we were there. It rained the entire weekend of...

What a treat to visit Alpenhorn Gasthaus! Adrian is very welcoming & charming. The breakfast was out of this world - we definitely want to return. We were encouraged to roam about the property when we finished breakfast, and it is absolutely charming.

Hi Janet! Thanks so much for complimenting us on our "Fantastic Breakfast"! Kate & her kitchen chefs enjoy making the most important meal of the day, a 3 courses of delish!!

Alpenhorn Gasthaus is a favorite stop when travelling to or through Hermann, MO, my grandmother's hometown. Alpenhorn is quintessentially Europe, complete with sheep grazing in the backyard and a brick wine cellar. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts each morning are so wonderful. I highly recommend it!

I decided to plan a surprise getaway for my overly stressed husband and this was absolutely perfect!! The hosts were so friendly and laid back. The food was amazing and we loved the sheep and chickens! We had the port wine and chocolate in the wine cellar our first night. It was served very well - perfectly paired! The next...

My boyfriend and I just got back today from a weekend getaway for a friends wedding. We booked a 2 night stay back in February due to the wedding being during Octoberfest in Herman. Best decision by far! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the queen suite and the room was cozy and felt like home....

Our stay at Alpenhorn Gasthaus created wonderful memories for my husband and I. The food was impeccable, the property had so much to offer, and the owners and staff made us feel so welcome. I will be the first to say I am not a big B&B guy, but I have to say, I appreciate the effort and attention to detail the owners put forth. The grounds are well maintained, several places to relax and reflect. Various areas in and around the property to enjoy nature, animals, humming birds and the like. We also...
