We stayed in the Grenfell Heritage Hotel last summer. The suites have everything you need and the staff were extremely helpful in advising us on local activities. You can easily walk to whale watching and iceberg watching tours from the front door of the hotel. The only downside is that the neighbourhood is not that scenic.

I travel for a living. This hotel is the nicest northern hotel I have ever stayed at. Actually nicer than most city hotels. Very clean. Nice redone hardwood floors. Very quiet and everything in town is walking distance. The locals display their art and suck in the gift store. And the prices are really good. Continental breakfast is small but...

We found the hotel comfortable, clean and quiet - I always welcome this as I am a very light sleeper. Breakfast is around a big communal table. I was a bit limited because I don't like eggs, but I never came away hungry. It's a bit of a walk into town - about 15 minutes but pleasant. For three nights...

When visiting St. Anthony's, we stayed in this hotel. Previous reviews on this site mentioned that the rooms on the main floor could be noisy because the manufactured flooring on the floors did not buffer the sounds. We chose a room on the second floor, Room 210, with the view of the harbour and close to the breakfast room. Our...

This is more like a small boutique hotel than a big hotel. There are only two floors (no elevator) and it almost seems that you are staying in someone's big summer cottage rather than a hotel. There are only 20 rooms and it is best to book as soon as you know you want to come here. The building is...

Kathy at the front desk is very welcoming and helpful. Our room was one level up from the basic room and had all that one would expect. A brilliant addition was a roll of paper towels on the table with the coffee machine and microwave. Can't get much homier than that. This hotel was once the nurses' residence for the Grenville...

We had a great stay at the Grenfell Heritage. The room was very nice and comfortable and the staff was the nicest people. Even if it was off-season the hotel was fully booked, so booking in advance would be a smart thing to do.

A fine, modern, spacious property; friendly reception; good continental breakfast included; and apparently the best place to stay when visiting L’Anse aux Meadows, if you want to be in the closest thing to a real town in this part of Newfoundland. Upper floor rooms include a balcony from which you can stand and look around (but without chairs, and enclosed...

Very nice room, with small well equipped kitchen. Some noise from other rooms. Very good staff. Complete continental breakfast. Would stay here again, if in the area. Great place to stay if visiting L'Anse aux Meadows.
