We stayed for a week in March and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, a few steps from the beach, restaurants and shops, they have a breakfast option in their restaurant. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again

I loved the hotel, it's like being in the middle of the jungle but still a short distance from the center, you can walk perfectly. The secret garden is beautiful!! The staff was super friendly, they gave me information about tours to take and recommendations of the best places to eat in Sayulita, although they themselves have restaurant service on the weekends and their food is very good. They have a coffee area included every morning and they also lend you books to read in the pool area, which by the way is very quiet! I will definitely stay here again!

We decided to stay at this hotel because of the location and we were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly, the service in the rooms is punctual and they leave the rooms very clean. Throughout the hotel you will find many green areas with peacocks as the hotel's pets. The hotel is under new management and everything looks like new. Thank you very much for making our trip amazing.

Would like to share details of our attempt to stay in Villas Sayulita. We booked hotel 1 and a half months ahead and paid 1/2 of the total $ 4,500.00(mex) for 3 nights stay. We checked in at 3 pm, we were asked to pay another half of our total which were $ 2,250.00(mex) We were also asked to put $350 damage deposit . We went to our room and find it dirty starting from the lots of hair in the sink to dirty bedding. We asked to give us clean room but they said we need to wait for the cleaning staff to clean it for us. We decided to walk around the town while they are cleaning our room. Before we left we turned air conditioning unit on to 16 С because it was super hot day( 34C). We came back in 2.5 hours to still very hot and humid room and ..that still was pretty dirty. After laying in bed for30 min we begin to understand that there is no way we would be able to sleep in the hot room foк 3 nights. We went to the front deck and tell them that air conditioning not really working and it is still 26C in the room. The guy said "sorry" and informed us that it is what it is. We decided we need to find something else . We asked to keep one day rent and refund us the rest, after all we were in that room only for 30 min max. The guy called the owner and the owner said that out of our $ 4,500.00+$350.00 he could only refund $500.00 We try to explain that we paid for an air-conditioned room and our air-conditioner is not working and it's impossible to stay in that room in that heat. We were told to take it or leave it and we decided to take $500 and just go. Please, review the pictures. Please, note that the pictures were taken AFTER the second "cleaning" of the room. I didn't take pictures before the second cleaning, because I was gaging. Remember, they clean with the pandemic protocol. Judge for yourself and think twice before booking. They kept $4,350 for our 30 min in the room. They didn't hold their end of the stick-room was dirty still and air conditioning not working properly.

My stay at the Villas Sayulita hotel was a true escape to a tropical paradise. I was received very well upon arrival, the staff was always attentive and smiling, they made sure that I did not miss anything during my stay. The location of the hotel is close to the center and 1 block from the beach. I will definitely return

I really wanted to love this hotel, but there are not a lot of positive things I can say about it. Upon check-in, the receptionist looked me straight in the eyes and told me my room was not ready without offering to leave my suitcase or anything. I had to be the one to ask him. Didn't help with my suitcase when I finally checked in. Bed cover was stained, bath rugs are basically rags and were torn, the rooms are completely in the shade with no light and dank, bathroom was super humid, I had to ask the maid to make my rooms after 2 or 3 days of being there (heard another woman in the hallway asking for the same thing) they don't seem to clean it automatically. The pool is very nice but wasn't cleaned every time I wanted to use it (leaves in the water) the breakfast is ok but the poor server at the restaurant is alone so you pretty much have to wait forever every morning to be served. My friend asked for more coffee and he wanted to charge her extra!! I ended up not even having breakfast there in the morning anymore cause I didn't have time. I stayed there for 10 days and somehow got pretty sick, I wondered if it was because of the humidity of the room and the A/C being old and not clean. At check out I asked the same receptionist (skinny guy with glasses) if I could have the room for a bit longer and he told me it would be 100 pesos per extra hour!! I was shocked, especially since I was a long time guest + the hotel was half empty and no one was checking in after me... Great customer service from Shava (Chava?) at front desk who was super sweet, smiley and always ready to help. The back garden is adorable and very pleasant (chose this hotel for the garden + the wifi) there is a bar but it was close when I was there. I really think this hotel is in need of TLC and could use some serious renovations. Paint is all peeling, the sink is the bathroom is stained, it's old, it's not clean. The rooms are spacious but there is not even a chair in the room, the tables and chairs in the hallway are all broken and should be replaced/thrown away, the lounge chairs by the pool are super cheap. Anyways.. I think for a day or two it's fine but not for a long stay like I did. I had payed all my nights upfront in advance otherwise I would have left after a day or two. The property has a lot of potential and could be really cute. The owner should really care about his hotel and have a serious walk through cause it's completely forlorn.

Beautiful hotel north of Satulita. I loved the location because there is no noise and you can rest. It is a few blocks walk from the center. Edwin was very attentive during my check in and my stay. He gave me very good recommendations for places to go in Sayulita. The hotel has everything you need, it is very clean and cozy. I highly recommend it. I will definitely return.

DO NOT BOOK. This hotel has closed. We received no notification of the closure.
We arrived in Sayulita on one of their busiest weeks at night to find that it the hotel we had booked for the week was closed. Website, phone numbers, email addresses all deactivated.
Trip Advisor refunded us our payment in full. However, we had a very challenging time finding alternative accommodations since we received no notification of the closure.

We were at the Hotel Villas Sayulita with a group of friends and the experience was great. The villas are spacious and comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The pool is fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive, always ready to help you with whatever you need.

The room was dated and sparse. The bed was very hard. Housekeeping was upon request which we were not told upon arrival. Trash wasn’t picked up regularly. Deficiencies were not dealt with in a timely manner (it took three days for the non working faucet in the bathroom sink to be fixed to work). The kitchen area was barely equipped. There was no tv anywhere. This was Super Bowl weekend and no place to watch it on site. The shower head was clogged. The website photos were deceiving. We will not recommend.
