Detailed Reviews
Thank you Siete Lunas!
We decided to take a trip to Sayulita and stayed the second week of February, which was a bit cold for my liking but it was still delightful and romantic. From the start of my reservation, Alejandro and Arturo made sure my request were made and kept me informed at all times, they also made arrangements for a driver to pick us up from the Puerto Vallarta airport (at an additional cost). We arrived to the hotel and was greeted by Alejandro and Arturo with a couple of margaritas for us, which was nice.
The rooms a sooo cute with an incredible view, they have a vert rustic feel to them. The staff was so welcoming and hospitable, they made sure we were comfortable at all times. The chef (Manuel) and Tere made us delicious authentic meals, while Lucy and Yadira made several accommodations for us. We decided to do a photoshoot last minute and they were great in helping us find someone to accommodate us. A tip I can add is, be prepared to hike up a very steep walk way that leads you from the door of the hotel to the villas. Aside from that, if you plan to walk to town, there is a bit of a walk through a jungly dirt/rocky road that will take you about 10-15 min to walk to get to town. My husband and I didn't mind it because it help walk off the meals we had.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Really beautiful place. Very unique view of sayulita. Our rooms view was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Truly incredible. The room maintenance has definitely been neglected. All the sliding and folding doors malfunction and the WiFi didn’t ever work while we were there. Also drinks are double the cost of anywhere and the continental breakfast was just fruit and some yogurt that might have been expired. Staff was very very sweet though. Very nice people.

These are palapa style accommodations in the jungle a very long walk from town. That means open air for bugs, spiders etc. Luckily they have very effective netting over the beds. These have beautiful views and a great place to sit and watch the beautiful bay. The palapa themselves are in need of upkeep. Our front door was very hard to slide open. The folding door on the balcony was missing hardware so it didn’t lock. Big bathroom and closet area which was good, but no coffee maker. The walk is long, unless you have a car or rent a golf cart from the resort for 1200 pesos per day. The people running the place are very nice and it feels like the are trying. Our experience with food was not great, but the owner did admit as much and comp’d our meal without us even asking, which was a nice gesture. The free continental breakfast is good and their coffee is great. If you do an add-on of chiliqules, be warned that they charge 250 pesos for it. Beer and lemonade at the bar was charged at 100 pesos per drink at checkout. This was twice the price at the nicest restaurants in Guadalajara or PV. My bad for not asking I guess 🤷♂️. The pool area is quaint and scenic. The railing has large gaps (3ft wide) where the railing has rotted and been removed but not replaced.
If you go in eyes wide open this may be the place for you.

Room Tip: The beach is a good walk away. This is not beachfront. Rent a golf cart if you plan to go to town.

Do not go here! Dirty and rip off! I have never had such a bad hotel experience in my life. Do not go here. Four of us (two couples) traveled here for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We booked the Kingszie category twice but were given a queen size room and were told there was no difference except for the bed. Unfortunately this was absolutely not true, the room had no proper balcony monks and was in a run down condition. They just have been super respectless. The worst thing was that the mosquito net, which is quite justified in a jungle hotel, was absolutely filthy. We called the hotel manager, who completely downplayed the matter (see photos). The bedding was absolutely disgusting and dirty! A- See pictures attached. After the boss of the hotel came and said that the hotel was completely booked she offered us to pay us the full amount back (I had already paid by credit card) The unfriendly hotel assistant said they would do it right away and we went to another hotel. But unfortunately, the money was not transferred and we had to go two days again in the jungle. Apparently, the hotel was then transferred back to my credit card. After two weeks, the money was still not on my account, after countless Whats App messages; mails and phone calls I got a partial amount back and they told me they would not transfer the rest, because that would be the Booking.com fee. The hotel had indicated here that we have not arrived. An absolute impudence the photos attached prove that we were there! I am currently with Booking. com in contact and try for weeks to get the rest back. Do not go here, the service is outrageous and you are treated condescendingly despite the high price. I have never experienced anything like this. This experience definitely ruined our vacation and we have not received our money to this day and the hotel is no longer responding. Such a waste of time!

We really enjoyed this lovely, quiet, boutique hotel. The view of the bay is breathtaking. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. I was battling a head cold, and the chef even suggested a special soup to help me get over my cold. He whipped up a yummy recipe and I felt much better.
They’re only seven cabanas and you’re not surrounded by tons of people, so it truly is quiet inmate place. On the weekends, you can hear music from the clubs and establishments in the main town Sayulita,If you want to check out this site, it’s just a few minutes walking distance away.
Tip-if you are the type of person that likes to style, your hair , the rooms do not include a blow dryer .

We were in the mood to escape Vallarta and quickly booked Siete Lunas for one night... we enjoyed our stay so much. The staff could not be lovelier or more helpful. Special thanks to Fatima, Adriana and Arturo! The views are spectacular and so great to take them in from the spacious comfortable palapa rooms or from the plunge pool. The location is great with Playa Los Muertos and Sayulita just a short walk away. Arturo aka James Bond is great at the bar and will serve up expert margaritas and pina colodas. All in all a great place for which to explore the Riviera Nayarit with Sayulita a short walk away and beautiful San Pancho a close cab ride away as well.

Thank you to the staff at Siete Lunas. My husband and I loved your hotel. The rooms were beautiful and clean. JJ the chef cooked the most amazing food and drinks. Arturo was a great guy who helped us settle in. The rooms are spacious and the cool ocean breeze just makes you never want to leave. The ocean view is a dream. We woke up every morning to the sound of the ocean and birds. It’s definitely a place we will be returning.

NOT even close to a 4 star hotel. More like a 2 star hostel. Dirty rooms.
The view is beautiful as you can see it’s really stuffing. However, once we got to the room it was FILTHY. I understand that the jungle has bugs & geckos, there was gecko feces everywhere. The mosquito net had holes & very stained. The place had not been properly cleaned for a while.
The worst thing, the thing that made us leave at 6am (after getting so many bites overnight) was the dirty sheets. There was literally mascara on the pillow cases and human filth on the bed.
Their fix was to offer us a cheap bottle of wine.
We left the next morning & we’re told they would refund the charge. Guess what? 2 weeks later the entire charge is still on my card. Don’t waste your time with them, I’ve stayed at hostels that were cleaner than this place not to mention they lied about retuning my payment.

I booked a 1 week stay at Siete Lunas in Sayulita and as soon as I arrived, I felt like I was in paradise. I love the pool area, the amazing view of Playa De Los Muertos from up there, the kitchen & dining room area. Everything is so beautiful and I love how peaceful it is there. The customer service is absolutely fabulous. Shout out to Ximena, Brenda, Eli, Areli, & everyone else that made our stay so cozy and wonderful. I also want to give a huge thank you to Adriana for all the amazingly delicious food she cooked for us, all the drinks she prepared, & for the company she gave us during our stay. She's such a bright light at this Hotel. She is what made our experience outstanding. We loved to wake up every morning and go get our breakfast from her & then coming back from town to either get lunch or dinner. She has such a great touch when it comes to the dishes she cooks. We loved everything that she prepared for us. She's wonderful & we loved sharing many moments with her througout our stay at Siete Lunas. I also love the rooms and the decor but there were a few things that need to be fixed like the leaks from the ceiling, the door handles, and other small things but honestly that didn't bother me so much. It was just small things that can be fixed fast. Everyone was so sweet, so polite, so kind, and welcoming. I loved my stay here and I hope to come back again in the future. Gracias a todos por hacernos sentir como en casa. Nos encanto el hotel. Fue como un sueño. Ya lo extrañamos. Xoxo

The staff are very friendly and kind. However, I stayed in Sayulita a year prior at a different place that provided much greater value for a lower price. This place suggests the price point is because it secluded, beach front, and set in nature.
It is not beach front. There is no beach access and there is another hotel between it and the beach.
It is not secluded. We heard the bass of parties in the town every night and fireworks that woke us several times a night even with ear plugs.
It is not private. It is next to other suites (wall to wall) and you can hear everything from the washrooms to other private activities from suite to suite.
Our sheets were smeared with brown streaks upon arrival and the bed canopy was torn and covered in yellow stains.
The access to amenities that they advertise such as restaurant, bar and shuttle service are only randomly available. We couldn’t get them to pin down hours. This is particularly anxiety inducing because you are too far from town to walk in the night for food.
The view was absolutely gorgeous and it was a pleasant experience, it’s just too overpriced to forget about these other details.

Hi Caroline. We appreciate your valuable comments, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the noise of the town. Siete Lunas, as its website indicates, is a hotel nestled in the foliage of the jungle and our goal is to provide an experience of intimate connection with nature and its sounds, helping our guests to disconnect from noise and daily stress. Rooms overlooking the beach. Unfortunately, the activities going on in a disorderly manner in the village are beyond our control. Our rooms are not wall to wall and in relation to our food services and complementary services, these were offered from the moment of your registration in our hotel, indicating the hours of available services. We apologize for this situation. We thank you again for your visit. Regards
