We stayed in the Main House for a week with 8 adults, one infant and 2 small kids. It’s really a dream layout and location, right on the waterfront w gorgeous views and your own private pool and outdoor living space.
Each master suite is private from the others, spread across 2 free standing buildings. So no one is sharing walls which is nice. The kitchen is great to have, and the hotel staff replenishes the purified water bottle tank throughout your stay which is really helpful.
Altho you’re on the quieter side of the beach, which is great, there can still be some loud noise — there was a wedding party next door at an AirBnB that played loud music til the early morning on 2 nights. Nothing the hotel could control, obviously. Also the waves crashing so closeby on the beach are VERY loud. Not in the gentle, white noise kind of way, but in a thunderous kind of way. A few of us had a hard time sleeping, even w ear plugs. But I doubt the waves are always that intense, I think we just happened to be there when some big swells came in.
Being on the north side means you can also easily hike over to Mal Pasas beach, which is gorgeous and unspoiled. We even hiked all the way to San Pancho one day, from the hotel.
Other things to note — the showers have *some* hot water, but low water pressure. The outdoor shower worked the best. The bathrooms are not the most private setup, with half doors made of bamboo. The bunk beds are situated in 2 of the main suites, in a semi-private but not really separate way. We didn’t experience any bug issues while we were there, but it was winter. Also, the big windows do not have screens, so if you have small kids you have to keep them shut for safety.
Overall I think this was the perfect place to stay in Sayulita, if you like a rustic paradise.

My family stayed in the 'penthouse' over Christmas and LOVED it!! The view is incredible. Like mesmerizing. It's a special suite and we will remember it for a lifetime. Unfortunately, my husband has a bad knee that acts up occasionally, so 4 flights of stairs were a little challenging. Don't book the penthouse if you have mobility issues. That being said... we all loved it. The open air 'treehouse' feel was very cool. The kitchen was equipped with whatever we needed although we mostly ate out in Sayulita.

The internet was a little hit or miss, my kids spent a fair amount of time at the pool to soak up the best wifi. The pool was very clean and the beach was STUNNING. They got surf lessons down the beach.

The staff were great and were very helpful. I believe the hotel was fully booked but never felt busy. Free bottled water is available in the room and the front entrance.

I will be coming back.

We liked this hotel because it is beach front on the north side, less busy, less vendors. We had quick access to the beach. We enjoyed the room because it was spacious and met our expectations. Their customer service was excellent they went above and beyond to make sure our family had a pleasant stay, especially Matty, the front desk receptionist who helped me find a hairstylist and makeup artist last minute. She made sure we had transportation for my nephew’s daily wedding activities. Alvaro the hotel manager was very accommodating to our needs and demands. The night guard Nelton was very helpful in getting us into our room when we arrived late at night. Carmen was very helpful in helping me set up the chairs on the beach for my family. Alondra, the maid, made sure our room was clean and implacable daily. The only remark I have is that there is no elevator & no phones in the rooms to communicate to the front desk. Overall, a wonderful stay. I will recommend this hotel to any friends who want to visit Sayulita.

This could be a very nice place. The location is a quick walk to the plaza and is on a quiet street with direct beach access. At first glance all looks good- it is obvious they have lots of staff that keeps the buildings painted and the grounds manicured and swept. The pool is lovely (although it was heated so warm it was more a bathtub).
But the rooms really need updating! Our sheets were old and stained. The bed was way too soft. The whole accomodation was musty smelling but especially the closet- we wouldn't even put our clothes in it. The doors to the balconies came off the tracks every time you opened or closed them. The shower had almost no pressure and was lukewarm. The towels were old and fraying.
If they updated the rooms to current standards, this place would be a 4 star.

The website and photos are deceiving unless you book an upper room, penthouse or Front House. We were booked into a ground floor room and it was dark and damp with very little natural light. The kitchen was well stocked but lots of things in the bedroom and bathroom were broken and bedding and sheets frayed and worn. Beach lounge chairs were stained and dirty. It would be helpful to price and promote ground level or garden view suites vs ocean views as they are very different experiences and I would have been very disappointed if we had booked longer than 2 nights. It was definitely a quieter hotel at the end of the beach and people staying there were very friendly.

I booked this hotel for 5 nights for the holidays, We arrive at the hotel with my 3 adult sons, the women at the reception didn't speak any English and we couldn't understand what she is explaining to us.

We got to the room and we found out that the room is super small with 2 full-size beds
that definitely can't accommodate 4 adults like it is advertised on the hotel website.
The overall condition of the room was bad and not in good condition, the doors to the balcony was in a bad shape and we couldn't close them.
The room was not clean and we can find a lot of bugs in the room.
The worse thing was the bad smell from the bathroom, we couldn't sleep all night.
After one night's experience, we left the hotel to another hotel.

Please stay away from this hotel.

Response from omollero, General Manager at Beach Front Hotel - Casablanca Sayulita
Responded 10 Jan 2020
Thank you Moshe Bar, and sorry about this... As we talked on the emails, you booked a Suite "B" with two full size beds that is designed for a maximum of 4 guests; many of our recurrent guests come and decide to sleep two in the bedroom and many sleep 4. Also, as recommended, it's best to have two suites "A" but you only wanted the Suite "B" and decided to tighten a little. Suite "B" has two full size beds as promised when you booked. Our front desk staff is bilingual, all all our guest's know this... And they are very friendly; unfortunately you did not want to dialog... This feels like a personal issue and you are trying to make us look bad since everything else that you mention its also not accurate... Anyway, thank you for trusting in Casablanca Sayulita Hotel, we offer only what we have and yo can see in the photos, we trusted in your booking also... Cheers,.

This is small hotel, very simple rooms and not bright like the photos but it has all the amenities that you would want from a basic hotel including a very clean pool - it was too warm when we arrived but they turned the temperature down then it was great, beach access, close walk to town and quiet . If you are searching for views of the beach this is not your place but the views of the courtyard and pool are nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean but certainly not updated but we had a comfortable stay. We had a problem with the air conditioner which took them 2 days to fix and got stuck with a view of the parking lot but now I know which rooms we would want to be in would definitely stay there again.

This cute hotel is in the North part of Sayulita so it is more tranquil than being in the center of town. The landscaping is nice and pool is refreshing. They provide beach chairs and there were always enough for the guests. There werre great sunset views from the beach. The rooms are uniquely constructed but there little things broken or in the process of breaking. The staff was helpful if there were issues but sometimes we had a ask a few times and it eventually got done.

We stayed in the Main House for a week over Thanksgiving week to celebrate my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a party of 14, so we also had a standard hotel room as well.

The private pool (which we discovered we had to keep the gate closed to keep it “private”, otherwise we had uninvited guests 🙄) overlooking the beach was perfect for watching all the fun in the ocean (which is VERY rough) without struggling with the sand (for mobility issues).

The accommodations were great and staff very helpful (especially with unexpected spills! 😬).

The pictures online do not show details of the kitchen. The fridge is full-sized and ice is available at the front desk. There is no oven, only a cooktop.

Since this is north of the river, there are not a lot of vendors, but they are present if you are looking for a deal.

We would definitely stay here again!

We did not have a pleasant stay at the Casablanca Hotel. In a nutshell, the bed was a board, sheets scratchy, had almost no remaining bottled water and the towels were ripped, stained and threadbare. The toilet paper is in the same holder and of the same quality as a gas station. No dish towels and a tv with no remote. Everything I looked for, was not there. At every turn, I felt like the owners were saying “we want to spend as little on you for your stay as possible.” The shame is that it would not take a lot of money to make the rooms quite comfortable; new beds, linens, some decent tissue and ensuring the room is well stocked. I will say the front desk is helpful and the grounds are absolutely stunning but we won’t be staying again.

No, but it is a 2 minute walk to the beach where there are two bars. La Isla has great margaritas and fresh ceviche. They have other food too but we always had the ceviche! Loved this hotel - great rooms and wonderful staff.

Hello! There was shampoo, conditioner and soap provided daily along with clean towels and a blow dryer. We got a taxi outside the airport and the cost for 2 adults from the airport to Sayulita with a stop at Sam’s and the grocery store was about $60.00 USD including tip. (If you arrange your own transportation, you will save money if you walk outside the airport across the bridge.) Also, always confirm the price before getting in the taxi. One other hint, confirm that the AC works and will be on during the ride!
