This resort was great! We rented the two suites (Delfin and Papaya), and they were worth it! Open air rooms with mosquito net beds. Each room had a double and a single bed, both were provided with fans and water, and each had a sink, shower, and toilet. The resort is great, with a tranquil feel and beautiful views. There's...

I've been a few times but have not written a well deserved review yet. You can tell by the other reviews that this place is pretty much as chill and relaxing as it gets. What more can you ask for? Your own infinity pool, clean rooms, super accommodating staff, ice cream fridge $1.00 beers and literally spitting distance to a...

This place is heaven in earth for us, and we come at least once every year. It's clean, simple (do not expect any luxuries), comfortable and the staff is very nice. You have access to a full-equipped kitchen, rooms have a/c and wireless internet (but no phone). It has a great pool, and you'll find a very friendly cat named...

Fantastic location, rooms, staff, pool, breakfasts, access to kitchen. But building work next door made it noisy. No rideable surf out front but lovely beach with turtles. Troncones – groceries and fruit / veg and fish trucks meant easy to self cater. Take lots of Mexican pesos as if spend US, get done on exchange (11p=US$1, not 12.6). If pay...

First, this casa is in Troncones, north of Ixtapa and there are none of the trappings of high rise hotels and all inclusives. I am not sure why it is listed here. We loved our stay. It is small, quiet and well-managed. We were two couples and had rooms that opened onto the central casa. We were greeted warmly by...

We have been to Troncones three times but Jan 09 was our first time at Delfin Sonreinte. This is a great spot if you have several people in your party who want to live family style in a big house (seperate bedrooms and bathrooms) with a shared kitchen and shared pool. I would go back but caution travelers who are...

My wife and spent spring break with our teen age sons here, a perfect choice we were all saying "best vacation yet". Many relaxing places to laze, fun things to do and good things to do in all directions. Visit Martha's for a nice meal on the water. We felt well taken care of by staff who were helpful when...

We love Troncones and staying at Casa Delfin so much that we visit every year going on 5 years. Casa Delfin has romantic suites upstaris and lovely rooms downstairs with air conditioning if you desire. The beach is gorgeous and uncrowded. Pictures cannot capture the beauty of this property. The pool is awesome and relaxing. The community lounge area is...

Wow! what a wonderful vacation! My 10 year old son & I went to Casa Delfin Sonriente for a week of R&R and a little bit of surfing. We were so fortunate, the owner, Glen Novey, happened to be there while we were there and treated us like family. He and his on-site manager gave us perfect directions to everything...

“The open air suites are lovely and romantic, but the bathrooms/showers are pretty funky and the mosquito nets on the beds do not keep the mosquitos out. We were eaten alive and had trouble sleeping. The rose suite seems the most luxurious (it is not open-air), thug the shower does not get warm.”

“If you stay in one of the upper suites I recommend moving the floor fan to outside your bed so you have two, as it can get hot in the evenings. I think the best suits is the one downstairs, with the hammock on the private porch.”
