Governor's lodge (Govs in local parlance) is a well appointed facility with modern cabins, well maintained infrastructure (roads, gardens), friendly and helpful staff, fairly central (town centre is very spread out). Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has early evening set menu which is a cheap way to eat if on a budget. Our cabin was quiet...

We found the resort to have everything we needed. Good sized clean rooms, pool, dining room, free continental breakfast. The even had beach towels and an umbrella. The resort also had snorkles and find you could borrow to go snorkle get at Emily bay or slaughter bay. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. Well done Govs.

The Governor's Lodge consists of clusters of small, individual cabins not unlike the ones seen in upmarket Australian caravan parks. The cabins have separate bedrooms and are adequately equipped with a kitchenette, TV and the expected furniture such as a lounge and a dining table and chairs. Cooling is provided by ceiling fans. There is also a small verandah with...

Stayed here as part of a tour group. The individual units had everything we needed - except toiletries...apart from soap on the wall, there were none until our second last day when we randomly received shampoo and conditioner! The units are screened - but cockroaches were a problem in out unit - killed 4 large ones during our 7 night...

we stayed at Governors Lodge for 7 days in March and found that it was appropriate for our needs. It is not a luxury style accommodation but is very clean and tidy which is an absolute must for us. We had continental breakfast each day as part of the package and found it met all our needs in regards to...

Good position to walk into town. Footpath all the way - just walk past the cows and their calves! Anywhere in Norfolk you need a hire-a-car. Did see mini-mokes which must be fairly new. However we travelled with 8 of us in a Tarargo and that was fine. The Govenors Lodge has a great restaurant - catering for breakfast. lunch...
