My husband and I were planning to be in Springfield the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and I searched Trip Advisor for places to stay. My eye kept landing on the Walnut Street Inn and it sounded like the perfect place for us -- beautiful rooms, a great breakfast and convenient walking to downtown restaurants and attractions. I reserved a...

I choose Walnut Street Inn because it was listed on a haunted hotel website. I liked because of the friendly owners and the good night sleep I got. No ghost woke me up. Breakfast is once choice (different each day). Very Good. I forgot to ask for the wifi password.

My wife and I live a very busy life with 4 kids and owning a business. Even though we live only 2 hours away we decided to escape for an evening and couldn't be happier. It was my first at a B&B and Walnut Street Inn did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The...

After driving 700 miles for the day, my husband and I, fatigued and road weary, stopped at the Walnut Street Inn. It was just as described both on their website, on the phone with Gary and on Tripadvisor.....charming, clean, relaxing, with a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable served in the dining room. Although the Inn was fun...

We stayed at the Walnut Street Inn for two nights while visiting the area. It was very accommodating and comfortable. The front porch swing was a favorite place to spend time, as was the glider on the back porch. They fix a really nice breakfast too. We'll stay again.

We were booked in here as part of a road trip along Route 66. We were welcomed by Gary and shown to a luxurious room with a 4 poster bed and jacuzzi decorated with vintage memorabilia- very tastefully done! Free cold drinks in the fridge! Lovely quiet neighbourhood with a guided walk around the street available. Delicious breakfast of homemade...

The 'Walnut Street Inn' is a wonderful bed and breakfast, a wonderful place to stay, relax and enjoy! The rooms are comfortably furnished with taste. The breakfast is fresh cooked and dispenses strengh and energy for the entire day. Perfect service, very helpful host! Great romantic place!

This hotel looked interesting in the blurb......and it didn't disappoint. In fact, it exceeded our expectations in that the whole place was enchanting. The owner/host was so welcoming, offering warm homemade cookies and tea as we arrived and giving us a brief history of this fabulous house. Our room was at one stage the house library, so a trompe l'oeil...

We found the inn to be very cozy, warm and welcoming. Gary and his staff were great hosts during our overnight stay. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious and filling. We plan to visit them again in the future.

Although I was needing to be in Springfield for business I also wanted to stay somewhere interesting and could not have picked a better place. The historic house is full of character and very nicely set up. My room (McCann) was excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent but I really want to say how hospitable...
