We are from Florida, in our mid sixties and travel by car extensively. We try to stay in places that have character or history. That is why I picked the Dude Rancher. The first thing I noticed was the terrible condition of the parking lot and walkway around the lot. The pavement needs to be replaced and the outdoor carpet... More

I stayed here for a night while I was in Billings. I saw the name of the hotel, and how could you not want to stay at the Dude Rancher Lodge?? The hotel is quaint, it does have the feel of a lodge with the wood and the decor. My room wasn't anything fancy or new, but it was clean... More

Great place right in downtown Billings to stay for the night and get some local flavor. Lodge is not updated but it is clean and the staff are friendly. The five dollar breakfast took too long so we went to Denny's across the parking lot. We had no idea this place is on the official list of haunted places in... More

Good Morning, thank you for the great review. We do have a very unique hotel that is not part of any big chain, which I think allows our employees to be very interactive with our guests. Oh yes, we are on the lists of haunted Montana locations. With all the events of this last week in town, I'm almost sure... More

This places claimed that it was remodeled.....well, some of the bathrooms were modern looking but that's where it ends. The beds were lumpy, like something out of an old western movie. The pillows were awful. The carpet was littered with dark stains. It looked like a room where people in horror movies go to die. It was cheap at least....

Hello, one I would like to say thank you for booking with us. I apologize for your unhappiness staying with here. Yes, some of the rooms have been remodeled, while we now have been in the midst of updating. We were not able to do in the height of the season as it would have been disruptive to our guest(s).... The best way to describe this place is "a by the hour" hotel. I first want to say that this was booked by another person in our group and not by us. We got in around 10 pm the receptionist was very unfriendly. The room - OMG the room - there were cigarette burns all over the carpet, the air... More

We stayed here in 2010, and enjoyed our visit. However, that was not the case two weeks ago. The hotel is showing its age, and the staff seem to reflect this. When I checked in the front desk clerk was more interested in talking to another staff member than dealing with me. The bathroom needs to be renovated....the shower curtain... More

Our apologies to you and your party. I would like to say that our restaurant is going through a complete remodel at this time and we have hired a new cook. As for the rest of the hotel, this too is having an uplift. We take our reviews very seriously and look at them as a learning tool and what... More

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Billings, MT and is reminiscent of the old west. It is very nostalgic and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Stayed overnight waiting for early m7orning flight. Quiet, pet friendly nothing extrodinary but relatively clean. Parking convenient. Call the office for better rate than website. Air conditioner didn't work very well but bed was comfortable.

So I decided on this place after reading multiple reviews. The lady wasn't in the office when I came in, but another guest who had been staying informed me that she would be back in a moment. In as nice a way as I could expect from a homegrown New Yorker.😉 Very quick, easy check in and smooth sailing. It... More

I stayed here for a night over the Holiday weekend. We came into town for a family emergency, and decided to catch some sleep here.
