I was not impressed at all. We went up for a day soak. Although it was cheap enough, the water was dirty. Dont think it has been cleaned in awhile. The changing rooms were moldy with an inch of dirt in the corners. This place hasnt been cleaned in years! We were going to stay the night at first, but after...

This is the 2nd time we have been to Symes. We rolled in and got a room with a Claw foot tub for soaking. We paid extra for it and to our dismay, the handles to turn on the water were broken.. It was 3 in the morning so I waited to mention it to the desk clerk as we...

Decided to spend a night in Hot Springs during my summer vacation with my Mom and brother. I booked room #30 which is a room with two beds. The room was very basic. It didn't look like anything had been updated for a LONG time if ever. Beds were comfortable enough. The furnishings were old, bedding was old. Everything was...

We visited July 6. The town is very small. But has one organic/vitamin/bakery store. Has some menu items. We had a pizza slice. Fergies is the only bar/restaurant, but closed on Wednesdays. There is a smaller bar on corner. Since no other place to try for food, we had to eat the Symes restaurant. They had several specials to select....

Reading about this historic hotel and mineral springs was part of our reason for stopping on our way to Glacier National Park. In its day I'm sure it was a great resort/hotel, but the lack of attention to the rooms and grounds had me wondering. A bit run down and needing repair, the room was a decent size, hot water...

I realize that mineral springs are probably difficult to keep clean, but there is NO excuse for the filthy, grimey private soaking tubs (old claw foot tubs)!! I am not talking about stains; I am talking the previous bather's/bathers' scum, hair and dead skin. The tubs are NOT cleaned between uses; which is unforgivable, not to mention unsanitary. I have...

I think I'm in love. Arriving you may think "what the hey, are we in a third world country here?" Symes has a huge long history. The years are showing, but don't be deceived by your first impression. The woman at check-in was very helpful and sweet in a sisterly kind of way. She even checked on us at dinner...

I don't understand the good reviews. The only good thing about this place is that they gave us a refund after seeing the room. The entire place is a run down wreck. Don't walk away from this place, run like we did!

2nd highest hot water mineral content in the world. Come during the week to avoid the crowds. Live music every friday and saturday night. Yummy dinners. Old school building and lodging. A real step back in history. Fun experience!

Symes is a wonderful place if you need a break and some healing hot water. Have a little patience, because they get busy, and the whole concept of the place is to .. Slow .... Down. Enjoy the mineral water and the eclectic locals. The shopping is great for vintage and handmade Montana jewelry and crafts.
