We stayed here one night on a bicycle tour. The courtyard garden and rooms are charming. They provide a quiet, comfortable area to rest after a long day. The rooms are small and rustic, but clean and comfortable. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious, and is included in the very reasonable room rate. We highly recommend this garden oasis.

I'll start with the positive—the courtyard/outdoor dining space is lovely, with pretty lights, a fountain, and lots of flowers. There are shade sails set up over some adirondacks, which made for a really nice place to hang out in the evening. And the dogs are sweet and fluffy. The rooms are very pretty. We stayed in #7, and the rugs... More

Dear Karen, thank you for your candid review. I’m sorry you found the property infrastructure unsatisfactory, and only wish you had spoken to me directly at the time so I could have addressed your concerns. The plumbing in the lodge was fully upgraded in 2013, with new 50 gallon hot water heaters shared between every two rooms and heating elements... More

My husband and two small dogs stayed here during the summer. The lodge is really cute, and Swan Lake (within walking distance) is a wonderful lake in which to swim. It is a clear, cool lake that has pebbles as opposed to mud. We enjoyed kayaking on Flathead Lake as well. Kathleen called Base Camp to arrange kayaking for us,... More

Comfy, cabin like rooms. Plumbing is pretty antiquated. Poor water pressure in the shower, so not very refreshing & toilet didn't flush well. They warn you they have an antiquated septic system. Breakfasts are wonderful & coffee available in the courtyard a nice touch. If you are into rustic, this is the place for you.

We wanted a special dinner for a birthday celebration -- and we found it! What a gem. Wonderful service, personable owner, and superb food. A delightful dinner indeed. Great selection of beer and wines. My salad with seared ahi tuna steak was fresh, well balanced, and flavorful. All four of us loved our entrees. We sampled three desserts between the... More

Our stay here for a long weekend was wonderful. The food was amazing, the staff warm and friendly, the coffee free-flowing, the rooms cozy and comfortable. The lodge is tucked against the Swan Range and Swan Lake, where recreational opportunities are infinite. Prepare to play hard at the lake, in the mountains, or on the road while you are here.... We came in around midnight and the owner said instructions were on the front porch, and they were when we got there and had no problems with our late check in. Breakfast was great, it was a full breakfast made to order, with fresh baked bread and cinnamon rolls. Room was cold when we got there, but everything else in... More

Stayed in two rooms with family of five; wife and I in a very comfy queen, and our 3 kids in a 4-bunk room. The rooms were clean, well appointed, and the log cabin Montana ambience was perfect. The courtyard area doubles as the breakfast and dinner seating for a great fresh air outdoor meal. Breakfast fare included oatmeal with... More

About 45 minutes out of Big Fork,MT and worth every minute. Creative, excellently prepared, relaxed. Three of us shared a steak tartare starter. Very nice. Two pasta/pesto entrees, one w/ shrimp, the other w/chicken. Third entree was lamb. All delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Have a griddle cookie for desert, enough to share. Make the trip.

This time we stayed two nights at Kathleen's B & B and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The first night featured a concert with guitars and singing and a buffet of Mexican food. We enjoyed meeting some locals during the dinner. Kathleen has a great personality and is a talented chef. We also enjoyed the Bigfork Playhouse energenic version of "Anne".
