This is our third visit to Al’s but it’s been a year since our last visit. It was our first night of a two week Fall Foliage trip. We did not go into the Park. Al’s is nothing much to look at, plus it’s just the basics. BUT it’s right around the corner from the entrance plus you can walk around the other corner to shops and restaurants. Do not stay there if you want more than the basics. Since we are hardly in our room when we are there to visit Yellowstone, a comfy bed and hot shower is all we need.
Stayed here in July 2021 and it was not worth the $225 for the room which was very average to say the least. No elevator and no coffee in the room or the lobby. Free coffee at the gas station next door. The room was clean but old and smelled. I would not stay here again.
This hotel is very deceiving. Don't let the looks from the outside fool you as the rooms have been remodeled. Rooms are clean. Employee is accommodating. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is the wood work on outside needs some work but that being said I would stay here again and recommend others.
We stayed a couple nights ~ mid-September 2020. Pros: 1. Close to YNP 2. Toiletries were given at the check in desk/check in staff wore PPE masks 3. Parking right in front of your door. Cons: 1. Not clean; sheets at check in were soiled/stained and they still put it on the bed (we asked for new sheets and were given them); we did our own cleaning and disinfecting upon arrival at the room 2. Noticed housekeeping staff does not use PPE when cleaning rooms (no mask & no gloves) - maybe that is Montana covid protocol (?) 3. Rooms are dated with no microwave or fridge (but with Covid you might not get these anymore); toilet seat was off center and slightly broken 4. Over-priced but paying for convenience; other properties nearby are newer so would expect to pay less at this property but that was not apparent 5. Tea/coffee - available at the mobil service station but it didn't seem clean or friendly to make tea/coffee during non-breakfast hours. Hope this business can improve the facilities. I cannot imagine being here in the winter.…
Stayed here two nights while visiting Yellowstone. Large comfortable rooms. Very clean. Very close to the park entrance and within walking distance of restaurants. No in room coffee or ice machines but you can go to gas station next door for complimentary ice and coffee.
