This is one of the best places to stay in St. Kitts if you want a beautiful and self sufficient stay. All the apartments have kitchens. It's very clean and the owners are an awesome couple. It's not a luxury hotel, but sitting on the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and the Atlantic Ocean, with Mt Liamuiga behind you in...

Can't actually say we stayed at the Mule but me and my wife met Ray and Sue at the cricket and they were some of the nicest people we have ever met when out and about travelling. If their hotel is as nice as these people then you can't go wrong

This was our first time staying at Mule House near Cayon. It will not be our last. Excellent accommodations for people who do not need to be where the action is. We have been to St Kitts many times and have for the most part stayed away from the touristy areas. Sue & Ray are very gracious hosts and we...

I stayed at Mule House for 5 weeks with a group of other medical students whilst on placement in St Kitts. Sue was very helpful before we arrived in St Kitts, answering all of our questions and giving us helpful advice on our stay. A group of 7 of us stayed in Mule House for 5 weeks during the Spring whilst on placement at the hospital in Basseterre. Our hosts, Sue and Ray were great from start to finish. They introduced us to the apartments and gave lots of information about the island as well as organising events for us whilst we were there....

We stayed at Mule House for a week in February. The owners, Sue and Ray, are very accommodating. Sue was very helpful with all our questions before we went via email. She met us at the airport and then took us to a grocery story so we could pick up a few items until we got our rental vehicle the...

We stayed at the Mule House for 6 nights and had the most amazing time. The location is superb, away from the busy touristy area where the big hotels are, but either with a car (Mule House helped us to sort it out) or with public transport it is really easy to get around. There is a big lovely garden...

What a fantastic location for anyone who wants to stay in St kitts. So pleased to see that it is still going strong. I stayed here with friends and had the most wonderful time. It was their second trip here, but my first. The apartment was clean and welcoming, with the owners Ray and Sue the perfect hosts. Their knowledge...

We (a couple) stayed in upper floor appartment for 1 week. The place is located 15 min by car from Basseterre, close to main road but very quiet at night. From the balcony there is an excellent view over the ocean, and from the entrance you can admire the lush green mountaines. Garden is nicely kept, enough of space in...

Self-contained, spacious and airy. Two of the apartments are first floor level and have access onto the veranda and two are at garden level. All are wired for both UK and US electrics, and have either free standing or ceiling fans. There is both phone and washing machine access for visitors use in Mule House kitchen. Mule House is surrounded by spacious tropical gardens where there is a barbeque for guests use and part of our garden supplies guests with delicious seasonal Caribbean fruits/vegetables. There are beautiful, mostly deserted white and black beaches, on the Caribbean and Atlantic coasts and a good variety of beach and water sports for both young and not so young as well as PADI courses for more experienced snorkelers and divers. Local small shops are a 10 minutes stroll. Larger supermarkets, fruit/vegetable/fish market, newsagents are… situated in Basseterre, the capital 5 miles away. West Indian, Creole and International restaurants are scattered around St Kitts. St Kitts is a very healthy Isle - our water is 100% safe to drink and visitors do not require inoculations. Music Festival (3 days) is held annually in June on the last full weekend in the month. Carnival 10 days from Christmas Eve to early January, plus smaller village festivals take place all through the year. Our nearest festival - The Green valley Explosion takes place for a week over Whit each year. Also dotted around St Kitts are historical sites, most notably Brimstone Hill, recently promoted to being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This very impressive fort is being very carefully restored to full glory and boasts a museum inside its walls to provide visitors with a real sense of its changing history over the centuries.
