Westin DC needs no introduction. This is our 4th return stay. From the moment we check in, it was just excellent service all the way till check out. Conceige was so fast, it reaches our room faster than us. Well maybe Fed Ex have met its competitor now. :) We were given a complimentary Suite Upgrade and it was THE BEST. One thing that struck me was, wow, this room is so huge and every single thing was meticulously attended to. Ie, housekeeping deserves recognition. It is a huge room and everything was there and im telling u, it's dust free. Maybe just a tiny suggestion, the cushion covers to be changed after every guest for a fresher smell. Toiletries, not a single one was missed out. I feel so blessed to have that extra hand written message from Hajar! It wasn't an auto generated printed message. It was a message with a human touch. This once again places this Resort worlds apart from other luxury hotels. We had the opportunity to try IRD (courtesy of Westin for giving us RM $100 FnB credits) and wow the sambal for Nasi Goreng Kampung is by far THE BEST sambal. Pls extend my compliments to the Chef on 10th sep night. We had also asked for extra Eng bfast and kids toiletries. The lady over the phone was so friendly, fantastic service! Bfast at seasonal taste; the food and service needs no introduction. Despite staying at Westin DC for the 4th time, no way can we try all the food there. The variety is extensive and I can tell so much planning had been put into. becos, there is just sth for everyone. From Soy milk, to brown sugar to Cinnamon powder. Oh and thank you for accepting my feedback (on my 3rd stay) rgd the Eng bfast being in the range of offered tea! I also noticed in the basket where we discard the tea bag wrapper, there were alot of Eng Bfast tea drinkers. Well, im glad most tea drinkers are on the same page as me. Just a small feedback on the fruit juice. I believe some of the fruit juices are not freshly made kind and are syrup based. It would bring Seasonal Taste a level up if u guys can make more varieties for freshly made juices. I had a freshly made pineapple juice earlier this morning at Seasonal Taste and it taste so gooooodd. So fresh! If u guys want to take it one mile further, offer it with say, celery? Like celery with pineapple. Its a healthy detox drink and Westin being a wellness resort might want to incorporate this. Service once again was top notch. We were seated at the round table with round sofa. Pls extend our thanks to the Indian lady who served us. I asked for kids utensils and straw and she served promptly with a smile. The staffs are so so so courteous even when they wanted to clear our plates. I definitely have a lot to learn from them. If i may add, there was a guy in blue uniform, tall no specs, he went table to table asking us, hows our bfast and whether there is anything he could get for us. Amazing. I actually overheard him at the next table even offering to take for them Teh Tarik. Din get his name but his service should be recognised. In fact everyone at seasonal taste works in a harmonious teamwork. The guy at the beach towel was also so kind. Greeting me with a smile. I was on d way back to the lift with my two kids and there was a lady in white uniform passing by me. She smiled at me and nodded her head. The working culture in Westin DC is very positive and it is always with a sincere smile. One that comes from within. It's easy to tell a smile that is for the sake of working or one which is really just a nice warm smile from the heart. And Westin DC team always serve with the latter. Thank you for the extended late checkout. It means the world to us as we could do our Zohor prayers before heading back to Sg and i have slightly more time to pack up with 3 kids in tow. Last but no least, Charles at Concierge deserves to be recognised. He saw me with a sleeping baby in carrier, two small kids and a stroller. He offered to push my stroller from lobby down to my car at pick up area. He doesn't have to but he did it sincerely. Becos he served with a smile and even offered to help us put the stroller in car boot. Westin DC provides a very value added service in every department. It will leave a very lasting impression and guests will just keep on making return stays. Furthermore, Westin DC has a perfect ambience. Direct beach access, laid back, quiet. And VERY family friendly. Thank you for not making families with small kids second class citizens. You guys are truly a winner. Yeap we will be making a 5th return stay, God willing, in the very near future. A quick note to prospective guests w kids: Kids club is close. But fret not, they have games rooms with suitable games for the kids of all ages (yes even a kids gym!) and the choice of heading over to Hard rock kids club if u really want (and if they are open). …

We had an amazing stay at the hotel and would like to thank the team for looking after us. Chef Rajendra was very nice and helpful in ensuring the right food for our vegetarian diet. The Spa was extremely relaxing and of top quality. Catherine in front office was very good and checked on us to ensure we are being well take care of. We look forward to returning back to the resort.

Just came back from a great 2 nights stay. Had an amazing time. Hospitality was top class. All the staff were generally warm, friendly and proactive in asking if guests needed help. This really made us feel welcome. Kudos to one staff from Concierge who gave us a contact for a personal transport service to rescue my husband who could not get a Grab back to the resort. Facilities were great too - can't wait to come back when the new pool is done. The activities was curated so well for the kids with giant bubbles and balloon sculpting. For the adults, we had a good time chilling by the beach bar as well. Shout out to the DJ who kept the chill vibes going with his great sets. The resort was so clean, kudos to the housekeeping staff who was always around cleaning the rooms during the peak season. Just one thing to note, hope a sweep can be done of the room amenities to ensure the safety of guests. We stayed in the tropical room and one of the drawers had room splinters and the shower head had sharp edges resulting in my child getting cut. Other than that, the stay was superb especially for F&B with many choices for the breakfast buffet. We were dissappointed that the nasi lemak bungkus was not offered on our 2nd day! We were directed to Westin's Prego from Hard Rock hotel whose owner is the same as Westin as told by one of the staff. We were famished from traveling the whole am and were looking to get an early 11:30am lunch. Upon arriving at the Westin lobby, we made sure and asked if Prego was open and the person who greeted us said yes. We asked 2 more another staff on the way to the restaurant to make sure and the staff said yes because our toddlers were already irritated of the heat from walking for quite a bit. We had come from Hard Rock hotel where we were checked in but did bit serve any food and whose staff directed us to Prego. Shockingly upon finally arriving at Prego we were told that it was closed and does not open until 12:30 and the staff directed us to try the beach front restaurant but we were not prepared to walk again! The worst bit is that the staff smirked at us and our group which is totally unprofessional especially from a 5 star hotel.…

I respect that when you were keen to feed your young children this would have been a frustration. In the wake of your feedback, we investigated and conducted some retraining to newer associates and trainees on restaurant opening hours with whom you interacted. I was however pleased to hear through the course of my investigation my Restaurant manager; observing your frustration intervened and apologized, whilst also arranging seating for you and personally attending to a meal for you and your family in our al fresco dining area. I understand he also arranged some goodwill gestures for you and your family to soften the frustrations and arranged for the meals to be delivered as fast as possible for you. I am told you left the restaurant ultimately satisfied despite the rocky start, so I am understandably concerned that despite our best efforts to appease and take care of you and your family we were only able to receive a 1-star review from you. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is in good condition. Check in process is quite fast and efficient. Breakfast variety is a lot and quite nice. Bonvoy member get complimentary breakfast for kids below 12 years old. Easier to access to the beach. Can get complimentary bicycle ride. Gym is a bit small. However, the current swimming pool is too small and noticed there is a pool in progress and expected to be completed Nov 2023. Overall, I still think it is a nice stay for us.

Thanks Westin Desaru for your hospitality for me and my partner’s weekend gateaway. Room are nice and smells good. I was mesmerized by the garden scenery in front of my room (I booked room with a garden view). At first, it feels weird when the hotel staff directed us to level 1 and I cannot describe the feeling. (Awkwarrd and weird) as I thought level 1 is for Parking. hahhaha. The hallway to my room at level 1 got no light, and the signage board is quite confusing but we managed to find the access door to our room. I would like to thank and make an appreciation to two housekeeping staffs on 26/8/2023 at 1030am (one malay lady & the other one Im not sure wther malay or not but I really hope he knows this appreciation is for him). She rang the bell and that time I just came back from gym and fall sleep on my bed. She politely say sorry when she realised I was in the room and kept saying sorry. Obviously that was not her mistake to somehow “ambush” my room (rang the bell for 3 times) but she kept bowing and say sorry. Actually I wanna thank both of them for waking me up from that “unintentional” deep sleep since I need to go and meet someone at 1045am. When I came back to my room at 1230pm, I felt so touch when they even tidying up my cloths on my bed. Unfortunately, I didnt manage to get their names but I hope anyone from the hotel who reads this can convey this to them, and I will come again to Westin Desaru just to get that service and hospitality. Great job! I also wanna thank this indian lady (i believe so) at the cafe (I had a chance to look at her nametag, but failed to get her name). My partner and I was looking for a table to have our breakfast, and there was one table that was available but the table full of leftovers and plates, and perhaps the staff didn’t aware of that. I then waving my hand to her, she came and offer her helps and straight away clear all the plates and leftovers on the table. I can say that she is a dedicated staff because she was making sure me and my partner are comfortable with the table. My partner really love her gesture and we talked about her and how she managed to make us feel comfortable. Thank you very much. One of the best place for a gateway especially for people who daily working in the city. Beautiful hotel with Desaru coast beach, LOVE IT! Reception was polite during check in, due the place is really welcoming but too bad can’t get same rate for next due to weekend if not definitely with stay another night 😃. Hoping to get a sea view by chance but I get a garden view facing hotel entrance (it’s find) Green view also good for a tired eyes. The beach is beautiful, hotel also have a nice pool overlooking the beach too awesome vibe even you just handout at poolside. Visited few outlets…had dinner at Prego Restaurant amazing team from the hostess to service…suggested if you want to have dinner choose outdoor its really makes you feel on vacation. Order few meals to share with my wife suggested by mr Tanjir, delicious food especially the pasta malted on big block of cheese (must try!) Superb serve by all team lead by mr mike. Not to forget if you dine in an Italian restaurant make sure you order a Negroni, best cocktail before meals, perfectly made by mr Tanjir, he is the man to look out for cocktail in this place 👍🏻 Breakfast experience was awesome too, excellent breakfast separate (don’t miss the breakfast guys! 😁) even busy but one of the Manager (didn’t manage to get his name) still managed to come check on us if everything is okay and offer to some hot drink, I guess he noticed no hot drink on my table yet (good eye) my table is a bit far from beverage counter and he offer to get for us (much appreciated). Before checking out meet a bar guy name Raymond at lobby and have a little chat asking how’s my experience so far😊 in my heart “I don’t want to go back if possible” 😂. Nothing much i can say it was a very good experience even only one day. Only one thing I want to give feedback is about temperature in the room will effect the floor when we switch off or bring up the temperature, floor in the room will be wet (first time I experienced this, maybe I used to stay fully carpeted hotel) is quite dangerous because we almost slipped due is too wet. Our stay was lovely. Room was spacious and spotless. View of ocean was great. Walking on the beach was my favorite—white sand, clear water, perfect temperature to swim. The staff was great. Ezri seemed to be everywhere, everyday we were there. He is future general manager material for sure! Ling made my birthday dinner at Prego delightful ( and made sure my gluten free request was taken care of. ) Hajar looked after us with a big smile. John, one of our waiters, was wonderful too. No matter what we asked for there was an immediate “yes”, (even an impossible reservation to get at a nearby restaurant.)

Very well maintained Property with fantastic staff. I am very impressed how well this hotel has been well kept and staff are so courteous,always so helpful. Clearly shows the hotel is been leaded by a great Captain. The only sad part was,I was only there for 1 night. Nothing but praises for Westin Desaru Coast. The room was comfortable and there were so many variety for breakfast. The service was great from the day we checked in to the next day where we checked out. We were preempted with regards to the ongoing renovations/upgrading even before reaching but honestly, there wasnt much disruption going on. Will definitely make a comeback once the new pool is ready! 👍🏽
