All in all, not bad, but there's definitely room for an improvement. We stayed there for 5 nights 2 adults + 2 kids (teenagers), overall it was quite a comfortable stay. First with positives: + Beach is nice, very clean and quiet + Rooms (at least ours - Junior Suite at the 3rd floor) - spacious, properly furnished, good view + Staff was kind and helpful, all of our requests were properly and timely handled + Room housekeeping/cleaning (towels/linens changed, toiletries replenished) + Location: there is a lot of dining options in 5min drive reachability Now to things to improve: - Breakfast... always overcrowded, eggs station is very slow and queue takes 15-20min. Some meals ain't replenished and if you come to the breakfast later than 8:45am you might have lack of choice - Gym is virtually non-functional. Only 1 threadmill was working, other equipment was broken - Common areas (corridors, lifts, etc) definitely need some touch-up/renovation…

I stayed this hote for two nights and found it very dissapointing. Because the dirstric of Desaru does not have a proper public transport, the guest will end up staying at the hotel longer than expected. So the hotels are supposed to have variety of restaurants, convineince store, variety of tour options, having taxi drivers stand-by, and so on. None of these are achieved by Tunamaya. Most dissapoing event was that the conveinence store was selling the bread with mold and it did not have anythig you can eat except for cup noodles. Thank God that the hotel clerk realized it had a mold and stoppted it selling to me. Another event I got dissapointed with was that they were selling their room with complimentary Water Park ticket that sits in the west coast, which is 754km away! This selling strategy is simply to mislead customers and make them to think they will get a ticket in Water Park in Desaru. This childish tactics simply disillusion naive trouists like me and make me think twice to visit this place again. With a spacious room and attentive receptionists, there are a lot of good things in this hotel but due to mismanangements by the hotel ower, this hotel caters only to local people with private car. As for foreigne tourists, avoid this hotel and book other places such as Lotus or Hard Rock that are more foreign tourists friendly.…

We booked the family room and it comes with 1 Queen size bed and 1 single bed. The room is spacious, comfortable, properly furnished, good view & clean. Beach views for all rooms. 3 mins walk to beach. The beach is nice, very clean and quiet. The swimming pool has alot of sand which is pretty normal since its just beside the beach but they do clean it daily. Staff was kind and helpful, all of our requests were properly and timely handled There is a lot of dining options within 5-10 mins drive. Breakfast was average, simple food like bread, nasi lemak, nasi goreng, mee hoon goreng, porridge, noodles, egg stations and fruits which is sufficient for me. Spa was OK. Make reservation early. Cost RM190 for 60 mins for traditional massage.

The hotel definitely look old ,,, and despite some of the bad reviews here decided to give it a try .... The staff were definitely friendly and pleasant . Fast check in despite me being early and fast check out too. Breakfast was average the tea and coffee was very diluted unable to drink at all. The beach is clean and very near so definitely a plus point .at night nice to be able to hear the ocean Cleanliness was ok but due to its old structure definitely needs a bit of upgrading . Something for the hotel to look into would be a indoor playground or some upgrade with the tv channels especially for family with kids who are stuck indoor due to rain or at night

This hotel is the worst hotel ever we stayed all over the world. We booked deluxe room for family of 4 including one child under 12. The hotel accepted 4 people in one room but they don’t provide breakfast for 4 people. They charge RM25 for the rubbish breakfast which almost nothing to eat. The receptionist was so rude especially the manager lady. Then the room was too old and there was dump and weird smell. The shower is electric one which I’ve never seen in the “hotel”. The toilet roll was half used and no spare. There were only 3 bath towel and no face towels. We called housekeeping and they said they don’t use face towels?? Then we requested one more towel as we were 4, they told us it’s chargeable for RM30 for an extra towel??? The breakfast was terrible quality and nothing to eat. There were not enough table and people were sitting in corridors to eat!! We paid more than $200 per night for this terrible accommodation and it was the real rip off. I think someone has to do with this hotel to investigate the hygiene, service and safety. Our too Was in the ground floor but the lock on the door facing to the garden was a joke. We didn’t feel safe there at all. Please don’t be fooled by the photos which doesn’t reflect the truth.…

The hotel is old at the corridors and common area. Bedroom is refurnished and fine. The worst of all is the toilet. Really BAD smell like a lot of other reviews mentioned. We tried cover up the drain but the smell still there. We booked in a hurry without checking other options, with similar price you can definately find better hotel. The beach is clean nevertheless, hopefully the management will do something about the maintenance.

Planned a trip with a group of friends, got a few rooms and thankfully was given rooms on the same floor. Breakfast was average, nothing to shout about. Beach was clean and easily accessible. Did not swim in the pool as it was a bit crowded. Rooms are average, hope they refurbish soon. Overall ok experience.
