If you do not come with Marriot’s international standards, you’ll be fine. Due to a mix up on the online platform, our original 2 nights stay was cancelled abruptly and I had to book a last minute 1 night stay as this was the hotel that my wife really wanted to try that was not on the beachfront. The general feeling I got was that the property might have been intended to be a serviced residence instead of a hotel. From the way the car park, lobby, pool and rooms were designed, it certainly was not as homely or welcoming as a usual Marriott would be. Two guys essentially saved their departments over our stay. One was Salmon at front office who had a warm genuine smile and approach and the Indian F&B manager with brown shoes who was there during dinner service and breakfast manning the cashier. These two gentlemen seemed to be the only people who knew what they were doing and were just let down by the incompetency around them. Room wise it was fantastic value. However for such a new property, having locks that don’t work is not acceptable. It’s apparent that housekeeping and engineering departments do not communicate. Our main door lock was faulty and the entire lock in the bathroom door on the inside. TV had many channels, there was sufficient space in the wardrobes, mattress was comfortable but the pillow so we a huge letdown. The pool was small and could not deal with the high occupancy. Dinner buffet was a hit and miss. The roast beef and satays were over cooked and the hot food area just looked like a Nasi Campur stall with everything just dumped in pots. Shellout was not done well, the sauce was decent but 2 out of 3 of our servings were not cooked through. At RM168, I can only be thankful that I do not get a Malaysian salary for the quality of food we consumed. Breakfast was a disaster. RM60 per person after taxes and service charge. Bread selection was pathetic, waffles and pancakes were burnt. Omelette station was extremely messy. On the main line, it was another mess. Nothing looked enticing and you could sense that the entire F&B team needed a wake up call. To have yogurt that came connected not separated before laying on the ice bin is just plain laziness. And the huge killing point that really did not make sense to me was to have only 2 coffee machines for a full restaurant. One automatic Dr Coffee and one with grinder. Overall the F&B ops and chefs have failed unless the target market are locals who have not travelled or dined well. It’s such a shame. Nevertheless I will stay at this property again when I need to be in Desaru but I will skip the restaurant. Before it sets worse, hotel GM needs to have a good discussion with the service teams and F&B.…

Friendly staff. Good food. Wonderful and clean room. Overall, I had an incredible experience. The food is delicious and appetising. I really enjoyed the dessert section. Room is surprisingly nice with adequate amenities. The only complaint I can highlight is to improve the cupboard smell.

I stayed here a night recently. The room was huge! The staff were friendly, especially the bar staff. Melissa deserves a special mention. Food was decent. Not beachfront but not a problem as the shuttle takes you to the beach area. I would stay here again.

It’s 1230am in the morning on 05 Aug. There’s some party going on in one of the ballrooms downstairs and the subwoofer is so loud I can hear and feel it from the 14th floor, which is the second highest floor. Have called the front desk three times since 11pm to tell them, and I was told I was not the only one complaining. So either management cannot do anything about the event or couldn’t be bothered. I also doubt anything will change if I called them a fourth time. When a chain hotel like four points cannot guarantee u a good night sleep, you know that they could not be bothered about one of the basic fundamentals of running a hotel- ensuring customers rest environment are conducive. Well, I won’t be back, and will be writing in to Four Points to let them know that this is the standard at one of their newest hotels. Once again my family and I have enjoyed yet another stay with Four Points, and this time round at Desaru. Such a clean, cosy and beautiful hotel with many picture-worthy spots (lobby, swimming pool area, balcony in the room) Room is massive with a sofa bed and strong air-condition. Love that they included a bidet sprayer next to the toilet bowl. Coffee shop, supermarket and cafes are walking distance just opposite the hotel. Swimming pool opens early till late. Wide breakfast buffet spread, both indoor and outdoor. Thank you Salmon Sorogang for accommodating to my last minute requests, my husband was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful birthday decoration set-up. Thank you Suzie Moh from the Front Desk for being so patient, friendly and so meticulous in her work, also for taking the initiative to locate and providing us connecting rooms. Suzie had also acknowledged and welcomed us for being a Silver Elite member, then reminding us of our benefits. Nice touch. Thank you Haslinda from The Mesh for taking the time to provide us with warmth and hospitality despite the busy operation. Bravo to Nawfal and partner that were stationed at the egg live station for being quick, yet made delicious food for all of us in the long queue that had many different requests. Overall we had a great, serene, rejuvenating stay. We will back again soon bringing other family members :-)…

the room and service are excellent. the restaurant for buffets breakfast needs improvement, there are flies indoor and its so annoying. they should put the flies zapper i think. buffer spread is good, the pancakes are bit tough and cold. they should be more soft and warm. great stay.

Amazing Smile at the lobby, from the security, bellman and front counter staff have been awesome. Especially Mr Rajeswaran have been very polite, friendly and professional. Four point Sheraton, it is like our 2nd home aboard. Recommend to stay here, room are clean, good size and balcony good size and view. Laundry service clean and fast, same day delivery.

We have early checking in, room is cleaned and spacious. Breakfast is good. Down side hard to get grab car to places that we wanted to go. No choice have to get hotel to arrange transportation chargers are on the high side. Overall I would like to complement Mr Sharafe Idris from reservation sales agent team for his excellent service attending to my request through emails upon arrival. Great job Sharafe.

This property is one of the best I’ve been in. A very good set of staff to help and assist you as and when you need. All their staff served you with a warm smile. From breakfast to high tea to even dinner. Not to exclude the check in and check out experience. The buffet breakfast is for sure a 5 star standard hotel. A great pleasure to stay here.

Was there for a church event of about 400 people. Even with so many guests, room cleaning was prompt & ample food during buffet breakfasts & dinners. The room is very spacious and it could easily sleep 3 comfortably if needed and the bed was comfy. And many food options outside the hotel as well, thus, the location is very good. I have 2 pieces of feedback. One is the pillows were rather flat, so maybe time for a change. Second is some attention can be paid to cleaning the corners of the room. There were some chocolate bits at the foot of the bedside table. It was overall, a very good stay.
