Lots of trees and big spaces for the RV. There are no pull thru's, but plenty of long back in spaces. This was a very quiet park. There was a swimming area too and fishing. Nearby is the historical fort area. Very nice.

This was the second time we stayed here, and really enjoyed the visit. Mulberry trees all around with tasty fruits, and most of the sites are shaded. Short walk to the river, which is really scenic. There is a bunch of fishing lakes, where you can take the kids, or adults fishing. $ 5 dollar entry fee on top of...

This campground was a disappointment. The garbage cans were overflowing, the vault toilets were not clean and worst of all were full and smelly. They ranger told us that they had a planned event the following week and asked campers with reservations to leave early and told us that the reason tt was being maintained because they wanted to wait...

We car-camped on our visit to see the Sandhill Crane migration. What a lovely, soulful little park! The cranes fly over on their way to the surrounding corn fields making their signature cackling calls. At sunset, we walked out on the pedestrian bridge over the Platte for viewing. We took a spot at the end of the loop just for...

Called ahead to inquire about facilities. Was told camping was $20..did not mention the additional $5 entry fee and the showers were 75 cents for 3 minutes. All fees should have been disclosed. Our choice would have been different.

Fort Kearney was an ideal rest stop on the I-80 on my trip from central Colorado to eastern Iowa. The tent camping fee, $5 day use and $12 overnight for $17 total, is extremely reasonable for a wonderful and convenient campground almost totally removed from freeway traffic noise. On May 19, I was the only tent in the campground, surrounded...

Just several miles from town, this state park is conveniently located for those who want to experience the great outdoors yet still need to be close to town. Great paved roads for biking, rollerblades, strollers, etc. Fishing lakes all about with plenty of space to find your own favorite spot. Walking paths for those who need a little exercise. Swimming...

This campground has 7 lakes, shower building, dump station, swimming beach, electric and non-electric sites and has a hike/bike trail that crosses the Platte River. Weekends are busy but the camp sites are spaced far enough apart for privacy and it has many shade trees throughout the park. Fishing is excellent and the park staff is very friendly and helpful....

This park has several positives, but I still wasn't able to give it a good review. Check-in was easy. Nice ponds for those who enjoy fishing. My husband enjoyed running on a flat well marked trail. Bathhouse was fine with affordable pay showers. Electricity at the site. The bad: very few water places to get drinking water. It was a...
