This was a one-night stopover after getting off the ferry late at night. Had a very comfortable nights sleep in one of the cabins. Great bed. Warm cabin, without need additional heating, even in Winter. Clean, modern, communal facilities. Thank you Team Parklands.

We’ve stayed here before and again twice more on our latest trip to the South Island. It’s definitely one of our favourite campgrounds. The owners are very welcoming. The grounds are well kept with beautiful specimen trees and tubs of flowers dotted about. The sites are very big and you can chose where suits you. The two bathroom blocks are both kept spotlessly clean. Our only suggestion would be to provide a means of drying your hands in the disabled bathroom. There’s an onground pool, playground and jumping pillow for children. They give free wifi and the rates are very reasonable especially compared to the more expensive places just a few minutes away in Picton. We definitely highly recommend this park.

I wouldn't stay here again even with the amenities it has I found the host quite rude to us. The rest of the place is nice however great park and swimming pool its unfortunate that we were made to feel unwelcome.

Stayed here just after new year with girlfriend a few nights before catching the early ferry. We camped in an unpowered site down the back. Park is in good shape and facilities are clean. Lady at check in was nice. We don't have kids but the kids around the place seemed to be having fun. Short drive to Picton.

Parklands was such a great first stop in the South Island. So welcoming! Our ferry crossing was late, and the hosts stayed open later than usual to help us out. Very clean, tidy, cute garden lights, hot showers, excellent WiFi, lots for the kids to do including a giant jumping air pillow (is that what its called? lol), pool table, TV room, just so much to do! Pity we couldn't have stayed longer :) Highly recommend for families. Excellent value for money.
