We spent one night here on our trip to Las Vegas and again two weeks later returning from Grand Canyon. Motel is dated and a bit shop worn but clean and comfortable. Office staff are friendly and helpfull. The restuarant in the adjacent casino is very good and all our meals were excellant with friendly service and fair prices. Wont...

We were on our way home from the burn. The drive was exhausting as usual. We decided pretty late that we were going to stay somewhere overnight. Hawthorne was the next city on the way home, so we picked El Capitan. The beds were clean, the room was clean. The carpet had some stains but that is probably because they...

We wanted something close to Walker Lake without spending a ton of money so I thought we could try this even with previous reviews. We booked a corporate suite to be safe at $78. According to the pictures, it had flat screen tvs, microwave, coffee pot, fridge and separate room with couch and loveseat. Check in was slow due to...

The hotel room was clean, but it is hard to keep a dated hotel clean. You step into your room and it seem that you go back to the 1980s, including a analog television. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is really the surprise, it is quite good. I would easily eat there again, as for staying the...

This hotel is not at all what it advertises. Don't be fooled thinking that its a resort or casino because it isn't! Dirty rooms, old and disgusting are the four words that come to mind for this hotel not "home away from home" as the advertising says. Don't make the mistake we did of booking this hotel on-line!

Even though the casino looks rather sad (matter of fact, the whole town of Hawthorne looks sad with the many closed up storefronts), the restaurant inside the casino was rather good, albeit nothing fancy. We ordered a patty melt which was made to perfection and quite tasty. The accompanying french fires were also good...crisp on the outside and moist on...

Both "resort" and "home away from home" need to be removed from the description of this place. The "lodge" is a motor inn across the street from the casino. We had to wait until 3:30 for a "clean" room which would have been fine IF the room was actually clean! Wasn't expecting too much for the price but this place...

Place is clean and located across the street from the casino and a decent cafe. Far from a "resort" but fine for one night. Some rooms have been recently renovated and are very nice but cost more. We chose to pay less and have the older room with old style tv but for one night it was not big deal....

Advertised as a Lodge, in conjunction with the Casino. A"Home way from home." It is called a resort destination. Couldn't be further from the truth. Advertised as a nonsmoking room. The smell was overpowering. It was across the street from the casino,, and was dirty, drink rings on the bedside stand, the bed was hastily made. Bedspread on crooked, sheets...
