Very nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Fast check in, clean rooms, would not hesitate to come back. If you love the mountains this place is for you. The lake is beautiful and I am running out of words to meet the 200 maximum

We were here on business and needed to be near the North shore, so we found this hotel and decided to give it a try. The moment you walk into the lobby it has a warm and inviting appeal, fireplace burning, fat leather couches to hang out on....stacks of wood line the walls giving off a wonderful fresh cut wood... Wow! For the area Lake Tahoe. The Hyatt is based right on the edge of the lake with some rooms being in the main building or beautiful cottages on the private beach. The views are breathtaking. We had the luxury of staying in a cottage. It had a huge lounge with fire and kitchen and one massive bedroom. It had... More

I love visiting this hotel. It is tranquil and peaceful, has a wonderful beach on the lake, and is comfortable and beautiful. I attended a conference in the conference center. The food was excellent and considered vegetarian and gluten free diets. The hotel has a nice casino area and a bar. There are bonfires at night. Lots of atmosphere.

Hotel is beautiful - I'll give it that. Room descriptions are inaccurate. Not much space to move around the room. A Double Queen room means it has "double beds." The security doesn't know how to handle/quell situations... which meant we got roughly 3 hours of broken sleep throughout the night. My daughter learned some new vocabulary words (not okay). Walls... My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt for a beautiful weekend at Lake Tahoe. We were greeted by the doormen who were nice and helped us to the front desk. The front desk staff was friendly and very accommodating. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and "lodgey" with huge fireplace and comfortable furniture. We stayed in a duplex style cabin... More

Everything was wonderful--My wife and myself have never had such a wonderful stay at a hotel--All the employees gave us excellent service--40 years ago we spent our honeymoon at the old King's Castle (which is now the Hyatt)--since then we've watched the Hyatt grow into a first class hotel--

We spent a long weekend here, and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean and modern, with some thoughtful touches like coat hooks. (Why don't all hotels have these‽) Bonus points for the TV having a usable HDMI port, and a night light which is motion-activated so you can use the toilet at night without blinding your partner getting there.... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A spectacular setting on Lake Tahoe’s north shore with 500 feet of private, lakefront beach. Surrounded by towering pines and mountain greenery; 35 miles to Reno/Tahoe Int’l Airport; 40 miles to South Lake Tahoe Airport. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino was recreated in the classic style of a 1920s alpine grand lodge. Exterior renovations of river rock and shingles complement the natural environment with colors echoing the tradition and sense of history of the original homes built in the Tahoe area. Extensive river rock landscaping and two outdoor fireplaces add to the guests' sense of arrival at the "Old Tahoe-Lodge" style entrance. The resort's Grand Lobby boasts crafted stonework, creating a cozy setting amid the warmth of an oversized double-sided fireplace, rich leather chairs and high-beam ceilings. The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel. Offering 138 luxury guestrooms with views of the Sierra Nevada skyline, the addition provides visitors with private balconies and breathtaking lake views. The Spa Terrace replaces the resort's former Aspen Terrace and overlooks the resort's new swimming pools. ... more   less
