This is BY FAR the worst Hotel in Vegas... Pretty looking from the outside and less than a roadway motel from the inside/rooms. Took 1 hour to check in and the "mobile version" doesn't work. The rooms are NOT what they show in the pictures. From tearing wall paper, damaged furniture to dirty carpet. The pools.... Well those are a joke .. the adult one only opens on weekends and from like 10 am to 4 pm and the main pool CLOSES at 5pm... Really?? There were so many issues that there are not enough characters to write them. Simple advice: RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
I stayed at this property this past weekend for the first time. I did choose this location for the much lower pricing that was available so I did not have much expectations. I had just recently stayed downtown (Fremont street), so I was not expecting a lot. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Checking was outstanding and the the property is really nice. The room is, well, it’s a room, not why I was going. The casino floor and everyone employed at the Strat are the reason to come. Every, and I mean every, dealer, waitstaff, bartender and floor manager were completely AWESOME! Tip: get a players card (takes about a minute) and start to experience the true feeling of the what Vegas is suppose to be. I spent many hours on the casino floor, they had plenty of table options, very knowledgeable staff to assist and it was a great time. I wish I could remember each persons name to recognize, but alas I can’t. I highly recommend staying or playing at the Strat! I ate at the 24 hour diner both days for breakfast. Elliot at the bar near the table games is awesome! I even forgot my room key a couple of times and never had any issues getting them replaced. If you take a ride share from the airport you do dropped off in the back of the hotel so it is a walk to checkin. I would definitely come back!…
Worst check in process in history. It took 4 hours to check in, staff was rude and unapologetic. Then was given the worst possible room, AC wasnt working bathtub was disgusting and floor was dirty. I felt like because I complained about the check in process they gave me the nastiest area of the hotel. It either smelled like Weed, alcohol, dirty wet clothes, or like if someone died. Lack of housekeeping and towels were not so clean. Thank goodness I bought my own. PJ's and Wings food was not tasty at all especially for the price we had to pay. Due to the check in process it ruined our Saturday stay and we couldnt enjoy our day because we were so tired from standing online from 130 am to 5:30 am just to check in after being up for more than 24 hours due to flight delays. I feel like just removing 1 day of resort fee was not enough. I was supposed to stay until the 17th of May and ended up leaving on the 16th because we were just not happy there.…
So I decided to stay at the so called Strat because I have been coming to Vegas for years and always wondered what it would be like. My usual places to stay would be the flamingo, Luxor, Harrah and other hotels in the middle of the strip. I have to say the Strat is the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced in Vegas. Circus circus is even better than the Strat. Here is my reason why. When I arrived to the hotel it was way beyond normal checkin hours. However, the line was excruciatingly long I’m talking 100 plus people waiting. It took us about 45 minutes to get to the front. When I got to my so called upgraded Elite room it wasn’t like the pictures on the website. Out of no where I started to hear a loud rumbling sound which I thought was one of the rides because it was shaking my entire room and seemed like some kind of engine. After listening to it about two hours I realized it was past midnight so how could it be a ride. When I went outside of my room I figured out it was the elevators directly on the other side of my wall. I proceeded to the front desk and asked for a room change. They quickly accommodated me after another 45 minute wait because the line was still that long after midnight. When I got to the new room again it didn’t look like the photos. That part didn’t really bother me. What took the cake was the fact that when I went to turn on my a/c it was making a strange noise and kept switching from hot to cold. At this point I was pissed. So I’m laying in the bed and what do I hear, the elevators again on an entirely different floor 11 levels down and two doors over. It’s almost like you have to ask to go to the furtherest room from the main hall just so you won’t hear them. After all of this I’m laying here ready to leave this hotel entirely. I’m over it. The long waits, being unable to control a comfortable room temperature, the broken HVAC system the elevator noises and my neighbors had the nerve to come in playing loud music at 1am. 5-14-2022 birthday ruined.…
The rooms are cheap so the staff doesn't care about you. If you're paying $500 a night, they care, if you're paying $29 (plus $40 resort fee plus upgrade they will force you into so more like $90 a night) they don't care about you, they act like they're doing you a favor letting you stay there cheap. Rooms dirty, no where to hang a towel near the shower, air conditioner unit filthy with accumulated dust. No good channels on TV, tiny room -with upgrade- hate to see what I was going to get. Non-smoking floor reeked of marijuana. Employees walking the floor after shift forcing customers to move out of their way. After a long day traveling, car problems, we arrived at 8pm tired and hungry. We saw a long line at check-in and then saw the 'self check-in' sign. So we did that and then stood to the side and waited for the promised text. 15 minutes later no text and the line was gone so we walked around a bit. 15 more minutes and I finally went to the counter to Francisco and said we did self check-in 30 minutes ago and haven't had a text, he just asked for ID, no apology nothing. Ok, I'm easy going I let that go. Then ensued a disagreement about the room I booked versus the room they wanted to put me in. Again, no attitude of apology, just bored. I asked to speak to a manager and he said go get in the second line. Alex, was no more help, actually told us it was our fault that we chose self check-in instead of getting in line. Again, no compassion, no empathy, we're tired travelers he could care less. After the same argument about the room choice, he offered an upgrade for $10 a night, we were too tired to argue. An apology would have gone a long long way to tired, disappointed travelers. No good restaurant choices, the cafe is way overpriced, $6.00 for iced tea, uncomfortable booths. Elevators dirty, carpeting in the hallway dirty, rude staff because they don't care anymore, no pride in their workplace. I HATED MY STAY, IT RUINED A VACTION I HAD BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.…
