Was ready to give an "excellent" review right up to check out. The hotel grounds and rooms are beautiful, rates are competitive (although no breakfast included, the restaurant prices are reasonable). It is more than a half mile walk to the Strip (probably why it is a good value). While we were carrying out our luggage and gear to the car, the guest management system disabled our keys and disabled the wifi. It must have informed the cleaning crew that it thought we had left because she barged in to the room while we were in it, even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We pointed out the sign and said we would be gone in about 20 minutes. We then had to go get our keys re-enabled so we could finish carrying out. The cleaning crew barged in again before we were done! We reported this when checking out that this system needs to get fixed, and they did apologize.…
Previously our fave off-strip friendly hotel. Not any more. Room rate quoted and accepted at $76 was actually $130.80 at checkout thanks to “lodging tax”, Resort Fee and resort fee tax. The $135 night ended up as $198 ! In the Casino we each won vouchers for 20% discount off an entree in the Tuscany Gardens restaurant, usable that night only. On presenting them we were told only one could be used. As there was no indication of this on the voucher we disputed it. One hour later after confrontations with three separate layers of management (and having refused the option of dining at separate tables !) a compromise was very grudgingly offered; we had to have separate checks. Not a problem. We delighted in adding our checks together and making a single payment. Good PR ? Consumer friendly ? I don’t think so ! Will we ever go back ? Never. …
Flew in to Vegas for a work conference. Got in about 930 am. Room wasn’t ready which was no surprise as Check in is at 3pm. I went and had breakfast at Marilyn’s then hung out in the lobby until 1pm. Then I started seeing people checking in and getting rooms. So I jump back in line and am told again my room isn’t ready and to come back at 3pm. Ok, no big deal. 3pm rolls around and I jump in line with 20 prime who are all getting rooms. AGAIN I’m told my room isn’t ready and to come back between 4 and 5 pm. Wtf?!! At that point, this was too much. How are prone getting rooms and I’m not? Well apparently rooms are pre-assigned and I’m just the unlucky fool whose room still isn’t ready. I tell them I’ve been here since 945am and am told that early check in isn’t guaranteed. Yeah, Esther, except I never asked or demanded early check in. I just want to be checked in at the stated check-in time!!! So here I sit in the lobby. Still. …
Pros: - beautifully landscaped - easy parking - large room - quiet location away from the strip - nice coffee shop Cons - rooms are dated with cheap quality finishes. Desperately in need of a refurbish. - good long 15-20 minute walk next to heavy traffic to get to the strip. - pool was closed so I can’t comment on that. - odd layout of disconnected buildings. Would stay here again only if they renovated and dropped the price.
I really want to post a good review because I do truly enjoy the Tuscany Suites. The rooms are nice. The casino is fun. The restaurant is superb. The Pub is a great place to hang out. I love the Rat Pack show. The reason for the bad review is because of their price gouging. We booked a total of 5 nights and paid, on average, about $400 per night for a 2-bedroom suite. We wanted to add another night to our stay because we don't have to be back to the airport until 8pm. They wanted to charge us $1,400 for another SINGLE night. That's preposterous. The girl at the desk said it's because the hotel is sold out. Well, obviously it's not sold out since our room IS available for that night, but they want to rape me for as much as they possibly can. So, even though I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back in the future, now they've lost a customer, and we usually come to Vegas at least twice a year. They also couldn't even give us a late checkout. Very unhappy.…
Do NOT stay here. They will steal your belongings. They will say you have checked out, have room service throw all of your wedding attire in a trash bag, steal your personal belongings and when you come back to a non working key to a room you reserved for a week in a block of 20 rooms for a wedding party they will tell you, I don't know what happened. It shows you checked out. They will not even call you. They can't tell you who checked you out when you're the only contact in the room. Then since there's three more nights and a wedding the next day when they give you your trash bag full of belongings, they'll put you in a smaller room to do inventory of your belongings. Don't worry they will take another payment up front, in full. You'll be told a security guard will come watch the inventory. The security guard will literally drop your stuff and say "that's not my job" Then you get the privilege of going through your own belongings just to find you're missing stuff and you get to go miss a before-wedding dinner and nearly cause the bride and groom to miss it as well. Don't worry though, I'll give you this cool little incident report to fill out and when you turn it back in and ask for a copy of it they absolutely ask like you shouldn't be able to have one Now I get to spend my morning with customer service in the lobby instead of being with my brother, the groom and my family The gift shop sells packs of cigarettes for $20. Housekeeping with all of my other hygiene products and food stuff stole five packs of cigarettes. If you do the math they made $100 off of my cigarettes in the gift shop... They gave me a $40 credit for $200 worth of stolen stuff. They made more off of the cigarettes they stole from me than I got as a credit. Their system double booked me and sent me two confirmation emails at the exact same date and time and they told me that it was my fault that the guy at the counter canceled the wrong one and didn't ask. I have never felt like punching a guy over the counter that bad in my life. The general manager will simply smile at you and tell you that it is your fault because you used the wrong pre-check in email. I had only reserved one room so when I saw an email come in and i clicked it, I cannot tell you why their system online double booked me sending me two confirmation numbers at the exact same date and time.. in the end I got downgraded to a single room for me and my 18-year-old son. Instead of the double that I had booked for a week. I kind of gave up the fight on the wedding day being the third day out of 5:00 so that I could finally spend some time with my family. None of the 20 people in our party will ever stay here again. The beds are terrible. The staff is terrible and don't expect anything when they steal all of your stuff and kick you out of your room that you had reserved for a week because of their computers mistakes. They told me that they didn't charge me for the night that they kicked me out from our double that was reserved to a single room, but I have yet to see that credit.…
Great amenities and the location was perfect. Close enough to the strip, but away from a lot of the traffic. The room was huge and very clean. The casino was nice and the restaurant was very good. The grounds were very stylish.
Booked a King room for 2 nights but on arrival was told that a King was unavailable so they moved me to a double. Was given Building M that faces the large construction project on the back side of the property and the construction goes on ALL NIGHT LONG with beeping trucks, low tone diesel truck drone and jack hammers. The TV in my room did not work, the people above me must have had a child that ran around the room every hour on the hour. The room was clean and roomy but pretty dated for today's standards. The price was ok but by the time you add in the "resort fee" for internet and usage of items that I would never use in the winter in LV it was no different than a strip hotel cost. The location is good if you have a car and parking was included in the resort fee. The Casino is meh...ZERO live table games with only slots and automated Roulette , Craps and Blackjack. I did not try the restaurants. The drink service is spotty. I would only stay here again if the price was lower than the strip hotels by a huge margin and the construction is done on the F1 place behind the hotel.…
I notified the hotel about our late arrival - 2am. They still gave us our room in L block which is right beside the massive construction site which will last months if not years. 6am, and the drilling of land started and we could not get any sleep. Kids are grumpy, parents are mad. I’m never returning to this place for ruining our time in Vegas. The restaurants are overpriced; I scanned the Marilyn’s Cafe menu for room service, there is a massive up charge to that, so beware! I met an old guy who claimed to have been staying here for over 2 decades and was very upset about how this place has gone down in the last one year. When a loyal old customers say so, it kinda describes why you should avoid this place.
Horrible experience at Marilyn's. Never going back. Lousy food selection and pathetic treatment. Manager should have been fired on the spot. Refused to adjust bill error. Threatened to throw we out despite my civility and description of confusion. Old disabled and loyal customers, gone forever on $1.95 mistake by them . Avoid at all cost. No good anymore.
