Upon Check-In, I was told I had no choice but to stay in a smoking room (I am a non-smoker and requsted a non-smoking room) - which smelled like a musty ashtray. The bathroom floor & sink were dirty and clearly had not been wiped down; there was trash inside the safe and also in the restroom. The door stop at the entrance door was sitting on the carpet two feet from its correct position. The towels are something you would expect at a junior high school locker room; The carpet had not been thoroughly vacuumed; the top of the desk had not been cleaned. Only one of the two elevators were working during my three day visit. This property does not charge a resort fee and I see why - there is nothing noteworthy about this property. ALL of the employees I encountered were very friendly and pleasant. The noise level from Fremont street is extremely noisy until at least 2:00 am. My recommendation would be to spend a few more dollars and look elsewhere. I would not stay here again!…
We had a King room in the North tower. We stayed 6 nights. Great water pressure. The room was a bit dated but was clean. Steve at the bell desk was awesome!!! He helped us rent a mobility scooter at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and quick to attend to our needs. We will stay here again. We enjoy being able to go out at night and see the sights downtown. Parking was easy with the provided parking pass and the self park ramp attached to the hotel. No resort fee!! A good value.
Underwhelmed. This historic downtown casino has fallen on some hard times. We have stayed at the Queens several times but age is catching up. I expected older hotels to have some flaws but... Upon check in my room had a sway-back bed- it literally had a six-inch dip in the mattress. In addition to that the tub was rusty and the room just looked beat up. The front desk was courteous and offered a different room - the bed still had a "U" shape but not as bad. The 2nd room was beat up also. Broken tiles, rust on the fixture- disappointing. But my big complaint was the dirt. Around the tub; behind the door and toilet - visible dirt that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I won't book again.
Rooms were okay nothing special, had to run shower for about 20 minutes before water got warm. No refrigerator in rooms of north tower. Bed was not very comfortable. If you stay off north side of north tower be prepared to be up all night (front desk did warn us)
Stayed in the North tower. 1 king bed. The room hasnt been updated for probably 30-40 years. The room was tiny and shabby. So tiny you could sit on the bed and use the computer on the desk.Curtains were torn, hair ball under the bench, one of the lights was torn off the wall, the other was wired together. The vent didn't work in the bathroom, so the smoke alarm would go off when we took a shower. The window is screwed shut. The bathroom sink didn't have hot water. The air conditioner made an awful sound every time it kicked on. The popcorn ceiling was covered in black dirt. There is no security from the casino to our hotel tower, so people were wandering the halls that clearly weren't staying there. Very disappointed, especially at the price we paid for the room.
My sister was playing a machine, when she cashed out a man ran over and grabbed her ticked and stole her money. The casino had it all on tape and wound not do anything. You would think they would of comped her the $60.00 the the man stole from her. It must happen a lot there if they were not willing to give her the $60.00 to get her to come bake to there Casino. I will never go there again.
My two day stay could have been better . Nothing wrong with the room and the price without resort fees was had to pass up . The casino , drinks and restaurants were all fine . I hung the maid service sign on my door and nobody cleaned it . I came back about 8pm and the sign was still on the door . I left to go eat and when I returned it still had not been touched . I turned the sign over to say do not disturb and went to bed . When I left the next morning I left the do not disturb sign in place since nobody evidently paid attention to these signs . Disappointing as this is not the way I want to remember Four Queens .
Stayed in the South tower, 10th floor. Rooms great, staff great with exception to one bartender, rates were best around. Cant beat the value. Tripadvisor has a rediculous 200 word minimum on here. Completely rediculous. Please stop this
We stayed 2 nights and the 1st night was horrendous on the 4th floor fremont street side of the north tower. It was not just the noise but the vibrations of the bass from the music on Fremont St that went on until 3.00am and late revellers until 5.00am. At the end of our our very long first day i place some change on the table by the window facing Fremont street and some time during the night some of the change ended up on the floor due to the vibrations from the music on the street. The next morning we managed to get moved to the opposite side of the north tower but would not hesitate next time to go to the south tower - although the cost maybe 20$ - $30 more a night it would be that much more peaceful. After a long day of just getting to Vegas ,that first night was horrific. The hotel itself is a definitely dated and worn and cannot get rid of the years of cigarette smoke smell but that is expected considering the high volume of people over the years. Fremont St was definitely fun and an experience you won't forget as it brings together quite the eclectic group of people. So if you like people watching and taking part of the entertainment, which is quite varied and pretty good and also partaking in a beverage or two - it is not a bad place to be for a night or 2. They do not have a resort fee which is great considering many are 30-40$ a night in the Vegas area. You need to weigh that with how long you are staying because if you are there for a short stay you can often get a cheaper place at a more updated hotel on the strip for much cheaper than a south tower room at the 4 Queens. If you want the Fremont Experience you can always get a 3 day bus pass or day pass that goes 24 hours from the strip (The Deuce) to Fremont so you can get the Fremont Experience without staying downtown. If you are downtown because it has cheaper table games then you are also in the right place.…
Very dated room and hallway. Missing woodwork along the hallways. Dirty popcorn ceilings, rust around the bathtub drain and pieced together wallpaper where I counted at least 9 patched places. Very noisy room from the music playing outside. The beds were comfortable. You had to give 24 hour notice to the front desk if you needed maid service. A vagrant begged money from my husband inside the lobby. We won't be staying there again.
