My family has booked at the Orleans about 10-15 years ago. Wow, things have changed. No coupon books anymore. No shuttle to the Strip. Really no perks at all to speak of. But it was still a great stay. We stayed in one of the older rooms with a lounge area and a pocket door to the bathroom and closet. It was quaint. The view of the strip, particularly at night, was amazing. And my photos of the sunrise every morning were also amazing. Food options, not so much. We settled on the Fuddruckers (see my other review) and split meals because the servings were so generous. Suggestion: Take your own teabags and run the water through the coffeemaker in the room. Food was our largest expense and because there is no fridge, it was pricey to eat. Also, the buffet is gone... that was very disappointing. Security was good. Check in and out was efficient. Housekeeping was excellent when we needed it. We knew it is off strip and took public transit everywhere... no problems. The machines are very tight so we took our gambling money elsewhere. Overall, a great vacation.

As a surprise for my husband I made reservations to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Upon checking in we were given a room with two queen beds not the non smoking king I had reserved. When questioned the front desk said oh we are out. Like no big deal that I had specifically reserved and paid for a room with a king size bed.

We couldn't afford to stay on the strip. This hotel was nice and we found it to be clean and quiet. We stayed on the 14th floor. Note that casinos allow indoor smoking in Vegas. The room had no main lighting which made it difficult to see as only 1 window in the room. The front desk staff were polite but not exceptional. It's a 20 minute walk to the strip or there are buses but they're quite infrequent.

We chose this hotel for its price and bus stop proximity. Only 15-20 minutes from the strip. The room was clean (may be not the carpet ?!) and smelling good. The door is not soundproof. The safe battery was low and we didn't ask to replace it because we didn't wanted to wait for the repairman. The bell desk people were not very informative on e-bike rental. Restaurants were very good: Copper Whisk Café for breakfast, Big Al's Oyster Bar for its chowders, Java Vegas for the morning Latte ! Too bad the shuttle doesn't exist anymore ! The Grand Canyon Tours don't pick you up if not staying on the Strip (at 6 am) ! If there is a next time, it's gonna be on the Strip.

This was my 5th visit to The Orleans and always my 1st choice when visiting Las Vegas from the UK. Well it was my first choice until now. The room was fine and the casino/hotel was great. We were advised that we would have to request housekeeping if we needed it but we did notice that the room has been cleaned on a few days where we didn't request it. Not sure what is going on there. We enjoyed a few days chilling by the pool - one of our main reasons for being there. A storm hit on the Saturday and the pool was understandably closed. However, it did not re-open and we were told it was closed for the season. This was really disppointing. The main pool was dirty but we didn't want to go into the water - just relax by the pool. I did call down to front desk who were not interested in what I had to say and I completed a contact form online and had no response. We could have used it on Mon & Tues afternoon intead o walking to the park along the road to sit for a while. What really annoyed me was paying the resort fee and not all the things are avalaible. So basically paying $34.99 for wifi (who uses local calls these days when we have cell phones). As a travel professional - I certainly wont recommend The Orleans for anyone travelling later Oct if they are wanting a pool. In fact I have stayed there before at this time and the pool was still open. I'm sure I wasn't the only guest unhappy about the pool closing a week early.

Still my favorite place to stay in Vegas.. I have stayed at the Orleans 7 x, I love the feeling of being welcomed, to the security guards smiling and saying “good morning” “have a good night”. The staff had been always friendly. I had ordered a refrigerator and was told it will be up shortly, 5 mins later the frig arrives. I had to call because the safe was not working, ok now we need to wait nope w/in 5 mins our safe was working. Ok needed more clean towels and paper, w/in minutes.. what hotel would be at your beck and call. The staff at Cafe were so friendly and always smiling. Baliwick food is great. Even enjoyed Alder and Birch, Micheal was soo friendly. Pool is never too busy to fight for chairs. Drinks are stiff, not sure if that is a good thing. The Casino is so clean, just wish the slots were not as tight, I would like to sit at a machine more then 10 mins. And Love that shows are back, no need to leave this hotel with great restaurants. Rooms are still clean and nice, yes a little older compared ti the strip, but clean, comfortable and slept like a baby. I feel safe and I know I can feel ok walking away from my 75 yr old mother and she is safe. The Orleans will be our place to stay for many more visits.

This is maybe one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a front desk check-in. I think they know their service is poor, and that's why they don't have their full names on name tags. I was only given one room key and, of course, got locked out, as that happens when sharing a room. They were so unprofessional and had no problem treating me like a criminal trying to break into someone else's room. I was tearful before being told they would allow security to get my phone. I don't have a passcode on my phone, but I described everything in the hotel room To the T. Once my cell phone arrived, they even dared to make fun of me.

Staying here while bowling in a tournament. After unpacking, my wife noticed the sink was backing up, full of hair and who knows what. Then while sitting on the east chair, noticed crumbs on the couch and a pile of toe nail clippings on the carpet. What a pleasant surprise. I did notify the maid and she cleaned up quick and the sink was resolved as well. Room service: an hour after ordering, they called and said they just received our order! OMG! Still waiting for the food now. Furthermore, the parking garage is quite noisy which happens to be near our room. We won’t be staying here anymore. Note: the walls are so thin, you can hear the person peeing next door. A waterfall effect I’m assuming.
