If you just need a cheap room to sleep for one night, it is not so bad. It did smell old, and furnishings needed updating badly. I would upgrade to a more expensive motel next time, or choose a river view room, it at least has a view.

Good room for the price, can't beat $25! Fees add on a bit more, but good room none the less. Pet friendly which is the only hotel in Laughlin that I know of that allows pets, so I can deal with a small tv for the trade. Would recommend if you're on a budget and don't mind having just the... More

When in Laughlin, other than sleeping, very little of our time is spent in a hotel room. We were in Laughlin for one night and opted for a less expensive hotel. The Pioneer Casino Hotel was a pleasant surprise and perfect for our needs! There was nothing fancy about our room but, it was clean and comfortable. We had a... More

Clean, modest hotel room that was perfect for our 3 pups. Parking in front of room was very convenient and they had nice areas to walk the dogs. Well lit outside. Breakfast was delicious - prepared fresh. Friendly staff and fun games.

You can tell a lot about a property by spending the night. Most problems go back to the owners. Are they re-investing some of the money to keep the property up to date or are they milking it. My friends - - this one is being milked. Overall the property is filthy. The elevator is old and stinks. The sidewalks... More

We stopped in Laughlin on our road trip to New Mexico and needed a pet friendly hotel to stay in. The Pioneer welcomed our dog and had a lot of grassy area for her to do her business. She was also welcomed on their private beach. The Pioneer is an older hotel, but very clean and maintained well. Our room... More

Seemed like a nice place. A bit dated but nothing wrong with that. Staff was nice but machines were too tight it seemed. Might go back IF I go back to Laughlin. Like most casinos, it's right on the water so that's a plus.

Really not that great. There were burn holes in the wall to wall carpet. No coffee maker in the room, which I would expect in a hotel but not in a motel. The staff was so so, like they really couldn't care one way or another. I would probably stay at another hotel if I ever go back there. Not... More

Seems the rooms are being upgraded. The doggy room had clean tile, nice shades, new caulking and just a super make over. Gone are the skimpy towels and the toiletries are nice. Fun gambling on the older machines as they even pay off. All in all, The Pioneer is a taste of old time fun in an old style casino... More
