We normally stay at the Nugget when in Reno. It's just easier for us. However, we usually book through Priceline and for some reason we got the Sands this time instead of the Nugget. First impressions: very dated, very crowded check in since it's in the casino, a lot of tour bus people. However, the staff was very friendly and...

The room we were in was in excellent order and as clean as it can get. The staff in the registration counter was very accommodating. We checked in early yet she found a room for us pronto, no waiting. Mel's Diner is a gem of a restaurant, those food is excellent and you can't beat the price.

When we go up to Reno, we like to stay at Sands, because it is close to everything and is a must to visit the Sands Buffet, they have very good prime rib and the price is very reasonable. Room is big and decent. They should make the checking in process a little bit faster, otherwise the line gets long...

If you are going to Reno and want inexpensive casino accommodations downtown, this is your place. It's an older hotel and casino, but the rooms were clean and spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is acceptable in quality and a good value. We stayed here in two different rooms on the...

All the staff was super helpful and eager to assist in any way. It was easy to see the employees value their job and the customers. The biggest concern I always have regarding any hotels, would be cleanliness--Sands Regency exceeded my expectations. Although I live in Vegas, I will be visiting again soon.

We stayed here passing through for one night. Room was ok - nothing to brag about. Desk service was not very good as he sent us to the 9th floor for a room on the 8th floor. had to go back down and straighten it out.

I stay here three times a year for a tournament and find the staff to be amazing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes, the property is older, and if you're looking for fancy, you won't find it here, but the value is there.

Rooms were ok, but not good. TV did not work, no fan in bathroom. Had a nice view of the Mountains. Saturday night prime rib buffet was not good at all. The prime rib was the only the only good thing. Probably will not stay there again.

Keep in mind this is going to be a positive review!! My friend and I were going to an event at Reno's Event center, and I picked this hotel because it was close to same. I knew it was one of the older hotels in Reno, but the reviews I read made me believe it would be acceptable. As we...

Lisa at check in was rude. Answered a call during check in process and forgot about me. Got to my room there was a hole in the wall. Hair on the toilet seat and the towel holder was falling off the wall. Bed hurt my back I probably will try some where else next time in Reno
