This park --- now called the Winnemucca/ I-80 KOA --- was a perfect two-night lay-over spot on our RV trip across northern Nevada. Reasonably priced, efficient, quiet, clean, and friendly. Easy to get to off I-80, easy to check-in, guided to our spot, full hook-ups, cable, and real good wifi. It's a nice park. We recommend.

Traveling through the west, ended up with car troubles spending two days stuck in "the Mucc"a. The staff, owner, and manager at Hi-desert (now winnemucca/I-80 KOA) were kind beyond the call of duty. From assisting to arrange shuttle service, to local advice, to USB HOOKUPS at tent sites (believe it!) these folks rocked. Pleasant, kind and helpful. You're in good...

We had no reservations but people were really nice and got us in quickly. They were all very nice and friendly which is good when your tired. The park was nice but it is rocks only so not good for dogs. The dog park has dirt in it no grass. We were only there one night but really needed something...

We stayed in their only cabin at this KOA in Winnemucca. The cabin had to be just recently built. Its located next to the caretakers house and situated next to the teepee. The main room had a queen bed with complete linens and pillows. It also had a kitchen sink and microwave and coffee pot and utensils, a table with...

Our experience at this KOA was very good. We really appreciated the enclosed dog run as it gave our dogs an opportunity to be off leash and be able to run free. They also have a free dog wash (we didn't use) outside the dog run. Restrooms we very clean and secure.

This is a new KOA -its no longer Hi-Desert RV. I called to check prices before booking and the two I called were both $28 per nite. New landscaping, good signage when you arrive, friendly staff and super clean restrooms! Interior roads are paved but the site itself is gravel. CATV and wifi worked but wifi was abit squirrelly and...

Hi Desert RV is now Winnemucca KOA. The new owners have done some major improvements, but it is now more expensive. We actually had second thought of staying because I know the New Frontier RV park just up the road is much cheaper. But we were there and that's where everyone knew we would be and it was only one...

We were just there for one night, but the restrooms were very clean and roomy, the sites were level, and the wi-fi was decent. For a stop over, it was very pleasant. About the only thing that the management could change, was the fact that they changed their restroom entry code and wi-fi password at like 8:00am in the morning,...
