I felt compelled to write after reading some reviews that were just plain lies. The Wayside Inn is actually two inns: one, a traditional bed & breakfast, and the second, a 1960's style "annex". Both inn buildings have a purpose. The traditional B&B is elegant, and very reminiscent of the inns you'd find in Europe or Quebec. As such, rooms...

I have never written a review on tripadvisor but this hotel is so horrible I felt I must. It is a bait and switch -- the pictures on their web site of the inn and the rooms are not where we stayed -- but was where we checked in. They have a building to the left of the quaint looking...

Why did your husband tell me that someone passed and you need to check out early without even mentioning anything to say on this site?

Very nice location next to the Amoonusoc River (not sure if I spelled it right but have no desire to look it up), outskirts of Bethlehem, near Littleton and Bretton Woods. Motel addition a bit outdated and over-priced,.even with breakfast. Inn was a bit dreary. Dinner cuisine a bit of a disappointment, very average, but perhaps expectations too high. It...

We did not STAY at the Wayside Inn. We ate dinner there twice in our three evenings in the White Mountains last week. One night I had the Veal Vienna, which was amazing, and my wife had the Turkey Dinner. We also both had the Clam Chowder, which was uniquely spiced and just full of clams, potatoes and other good...

On a weekend getaway to New Hampshire, stayed in room 4 at the Wayside Inn. The room was comfortable, and very quaint, as was the inn. Room 4 was actually in the Inn, even though there is a secondary building that looked more of a typical motor inn. The room was a nice size. The bed was extremely comfortable, and...

Overall the property is very nice, though a little out of date. PIllows in the rooms were definitely a little worn, but the room itself was very nice and well kept. The staff was very welcoming, and breakfast the next morning (which was included) was delicious.

We stayed here for two nights in their Annex. Our first reaction to the property, the room and the Annex were negative. It didn't take long before we changed our opinion and found that we liked it quite a bit... even with it being in great need of updating. Positives: Nice friendly couple and staff who run the inn. Rooms...

My husband and I were in the area during offseason and discovered most of the B&B establishments were not yet open. Victor and Cathe Hofmann, the innkeepers, were very accommodating and made us feel right at home. Our room was nicely appointed and extremely clean. Our breakfast was made to order and delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting the...

Wayside Inn has been the destination for our group gatherings, winter and summer, for over 25 years. The Hofmann family and staff are very accommodating. The restaurant along the scenic river and historic Pierce Bridge is a beautiful setting for enjoying the delicious meals prepared by an award winning swiss chef. The inn rooms are comfortable and decorated to honor...

We booked 3 nights at the Wayside, a place we had stayed about 30 years ago. Its activity level seems to have dwindled quite a bit - but it also was a bit early in their season since many attractions around the Mt. Washington area were not open yet. The owners were very congenial from check-in to check-out. We had...
