I was looking for an inexpensive place to spend a couple of nights while I hiked. My site was nice and the bathrooms were relatively clean compared to some other places I've stayed. The lake swimming was nice and the showers are free. There are a lot of seasonals here and their sites tend to look like a trailer park-...

We heard rumors while we were here that this place is under new ownership and is closing at the end of this season for some kind of yurt campground. It's a good thing because we NEVER would've come back anyway. It's in need of serious repair... Restroom and showers were gross. Lake was not swimmable and beach was very dirty....

I booked by telephone as they don't have internet reservations. Got there and was checked in. Over an hour later, an employee arrived and told us we had to 'get out'. She evidently had the site reserved for her family. Her approach was hostile. I felt like I was arguing over a parking space in the city!. After talking her...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights recently and camped in a tent. The campground was fairly easy to find and when we arrived,The lady at the desk instructed us how to get to our site. The site was close to the facilities like I requested however, it is co ed. I had read reviews and researched as...

Very disappointed!! Promised it was a great site for family and dog, got there only to find the site inbedded with glass, due to a past very angry seasonal person. Staff did come and rake up majority but still all in the dirt! Not safe for a dog I can tell you that, had to constantly look around for glass!...

We have been camping for years in the New England area and this was by far, the worst experience ever. We were next to seasonal campers who were loud and obnoxious. They partied until 1 or 2 am and when we respectfully asked them to quiet down a little - our kids were trying to sleep, they were rude and...

The overall experience was amazing. I was amazed by the view of the lake and to see all the kids having fun. The staff was friendly and hard working, always making the camp a better experience. The store has all you need to make the trip amazing. I will be coming back to this campground every year.

We had a lovely experience camping at Pine Knoll. The staff was friendly and kind and I felt the facilities were clean and cared for. We had site "0" which was like a small Island! It was surrounded by a babbling brook that lulled us to sleep every night! Even though most of the campground were seasonal people I found...

The only good thing I experienced was a hot shower. they were as clean. Bathrooms did not have toilet paper in them luckily I bring my own as I am a hiker and had some for my trail hikes. I had site 3B a tent site. No privacy. I took a look around the campground there wasn't any site that...

We love Pine Knoll, this campground has no frills but the price is great and location amazing. We are a family of 6 all the kids under 12 and we travel with three other family's, we return to Pine Knoll every year. The kids can be kids and run around and have fun in the playground with out being yelled...

“Campsite "0" was more private than others and seemed to be quieter. We also camped there during the week not on the weekend. It seemed a lot of the seasonal people were not there during the week....”
