My wife and I spent 3 nights at Ashburn House in the small town of Fitzwilliam, NH in October. Of course, we booked here because the reviews were great, so our expectations were high. It was not an overstatement to say that our expectations were exceeded in every way! As has been mentioned repeatedly, Carole and Ken are very social... More

Went to the area for business one night, wished it could have been longer. Carol and Ken have a very warm and welcoming home. They were great hosts and made you feel right at home from the start. Fitzwilliam (our first time there) is beautiful New England town. We have family in the Vermont area and are looking forward to... More

We had an excellent stay at Ashburn House. The accommodations were nice and the hosts were fantastic. They had some great suggestions for places to eat and visit and they went out of their way for us on multiple occasions. They were also very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The food was all delicious.

We stayed here for one night in August around New England, we stayed specifically so we could climb mount Monadnock which was very near by. The owners were friendly and very helpful, the room was beautiful with a big 4 poster bed. We had the best breakfast of our entire trip here, fantastic pancakes with maple syrup from the trees... We have stayed at the Ashburn House five or six times. Ken and Carol are wonderful hosts! The house has tremendous character and each room is tastefully adorned. The breakfasts are AMAZING and if you stay multiple nights you can expect something different each day!!

We stayed in the Rose Room at Ashburn House, this weekend. Carol and Ken are lovely hosts, and the House is beautifully decorated in period details. The Rose Room has a comfortable queen bed, AC if needed, and all the amenities you could need. There are 2 different styles of bathrobes, extra pillows, and blankets if needed. There is a... More

This is a beautiful early 1800's home. Our room was comfortable with an en suite bath. There was a TV room downstairs, though we didn't take advantage of it. The breakfast was several courses, including a fruit & yogurt dish, eggs, coffee and tea and a home baked bread.

Carol is delightful and friendly. My sister and l loved talking with her. Room was clean and the bed was great. Then came breakfast. It was a feast customized to each person and prepared as you eat. I started with a strawberry and rhubarb crunch-Yum-then blueberry pancakes with maple syrup that they had made. Lots of coffee and juice and... More

The room was cozy with lovely New England decor. Welcomed with wine and chocolate! Breakfasts were delicious and more than plenty of food. Carol went overboard to meet our needs. Had lovely sitting rooms we regretfully had no time to use. Would return any time!

I wanted to stay at Ashburn House for September 2016. Unfortunately, I have to cancel it as a new work commitments arose. It has been quite difficult booking an accommodation around the area-partly because it is during a peak period & there are events i.e. Alumni Weekend Reunion at that point of time. I have emailed almost all the inns... More
