I stayed at the Marguerite Motel for the Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon. The hotel was very close to the Start/Finish line, and just a few blocks off the beach which made it a very convenient location to stay for the race. The hotels in Hampton Beach, like many beach towns,

Pamela, Thank you for your review and we appreciate you choosing us for your stay during the Smuttynose Rockfest weekend. For that weekend we actually extend a 1PM checkout to all of our guests because of the race, so they can shower and change after running. There were signs on the desk in the office indicting this, so I'm sorry you missed that. That weekend the majority of our guests are participating in the race and we know our normal checkout time is close the time most people are finishing up. If you are in the area again for the race or just to enjoy the beach, please consider staying with us again! Thank you, Catherine

Clean Comfortable Convenient The price range is very good for Hampton Beach & this motel provides the comfort & convenience that we like when we are at the beach. In addition there is an inground pool & small areas for cooking out if you choose. Our unit was a Regular King

Expectations weren't high for this old motel with so-so reviews, and we essentially got what we expected. On the down side, the bathroom sink was badly clogged, you turned the nightstand light on and off by turning the bulb (no switch), and there is no chain or safety latch of

Thank you for your review and I'm sad to hear you were disappointed in your stay. Did you contact the office during your stay about any of the issues? We would have been more than happy fix any of the problems you had, especially the sink. I'm guessing by your review that there was no coffee pot you were in one of our standard style rooms. We do have rooms with coffee pots and microwaves, but they are a little bit more expensive. We also serve coffee in the office in the morning for any of our guests to enjoy. Again, thank you for your review! We appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you, Catherine

The pool was disgusting!! Black mold and green mold all over the walls and the deep end of the pool. I refused to let my kids go in. It was close to the boardwalk but that’s about it. For the amount of money we paid I would expect a lot more!!! Almost $500 for 2 days and no use

Hello and I'm very sorry you were unhappy with your stay. We take these types of reviews very seriously because we want all of our guests to enjoy their stay with us. We are aware of the issue with the pool, but it is actually algae, not mold. It has been treated and the company that services our pool assured us that that was no health risk associated with it. We test the levels of chlorine and pool chemicals multiple times a day and all of our levels were within the standard they were supposed to be. As far as your room goes, we have different types of rooms and you may have booked a standard room, which only has a small fridge, no kitchen or kitchenette. I don't know where you booked the room, whether it was online or directly with us, but all of the amenities are highlighted online when booking and also over the phone if you called us directly. All of our rooms have either a fan or a window in the bathroom, so I'm quite surprised you are saying there was none. The same goes for the shower head, some of the shower heads we have are very small and almost appear as though there is not one, but when you turn the water on, you will see that there is. Again, I'm very sorry you were unhappy with your stay. I wish you had come to talk to us during your time here so we could correct any of these issues or at least provide more information at that point. Thank you, Catherine Manager

Looking for a hotel in H.B. can be overwhelming. This hotel has a great location from the beach. The people who were staying at the hotel were a mix of retirees, families with small children & groups for friends. The second level building can be a bit of strain if someone wants
