What a delightful place to stay and the hosts were great, just like all the other reviewers said they would be. Jackson is a quaint town close to Mt Washington and there are many things to do in the area. Dick and Sally were great cooks and helpful with planning day trips to attractions along the Kangamagus Highway, Mt Washington...

We traveled to Jackson, NH to hike Mt. Washington and while there we have found a home away from home. We absolutely loved our stay and had wished we had been able to stay longer. Dick and Sally truly go above and beyond. The Inn is beautiful and the breakfast is superb! Dick and Sally thank you for making our...

Easily the most relaxing two days we have spent at an inn or hotel ... ever Dick and Sally were superb hosts. The 'Treehouse" room was beautiful, the ambience of the inn fantastic, the breakfasts scrumptious and the overall experience nothing short of spectacular. Had we known, we would have spent more time at the inn.

My wife and I booked an April 2010 get-a-way weekend over six months in advance. The wait was worth it! Sally and Dick are the best in the B & B business. The rooms are spotless, large, and all have a TV with a private bathroom. We reserved room #6 which was to die for! A large room, with a...

Dick and Sally are absolutely wonderful hosts and are very friendly and fun to have a drink with in the later hours of the day. The Inn is very nice with its old quirks, but very well kept up and is quite clean. I have only stayed in room 8 and highly recommend it; with a jacuzzi tub and a...

My wife and I are well-seasoned B&B travelers. We've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly, so to speak. We know that websites can be deceiving, filled with prose that masks unpleasant realities and promises that cannot be kept.. In planning our trip to New Hampshire, the Carter Notch site caught our eye and the unstinted praise from reviewers...

We were hesitant to book our trip with a B&B because we have so many experiences where "cozy, Victorian" places with "antique furniture" were basically small, dingy, old places with old stuff. While we enjoy grungy trips to other countries, we were looking for some comfortable relaxation in a New England winter wonderland on this trip. Carter Notch was everything...

My wife discovered the Carter Notch Inn six years ago while searching for a location to celebrate our February anniversary. We were so taken with the Inn, its surroundings, and especially the gracious owners, Sally and Dick, that we have made this an annual event. We are cross-country skiers, and the Jackson Ski Touring Center is top notch. The Center's...

I cannot say too many good things about the Carter Notch Inn. The Innkeepers are great - accommodating, friendly, funny, very knowledgeable about things to do in the area and they make the best B&B full breakfast I have ever had. The rooms are very nicely furnished and comfortable, with a New England charm. The common living room and dining...

Carter Notch is the perfect place to stay in Jackson. This was our first visit to Jackson and we can't wait to go back and see Jackson in the Summer - we most definately will visit the Carter Notch. Dick and Sally are excellent hosts, who spend the time to get to know you and offer great advice about the...
