I've lost count of how many times my husband and I have stayed at this beautiful charming inn; Carter Notch is our favorite place to stay in New England and we feel relaxed as soon as we arrive. The inn is in a beautiful, quiet location away from the main roads and overlooks the Jackson Golf Course meadows and Doublehead...

Dick and Sally call their Inn "your home in Jackson", and they really mean it -- without question, it feels that way to us. Our brother and sister-in-law discovered the Carter Notch Inn several years ago and raved extravagantly about it, so the next winter my wife and I planned a cross-country ski getaway there in February with them. (The...

After spending several years at the large historic hotel next door, we decided to try Carter Notch Inn and we're glad we did. The innkeepers were very friendly and wonderful hosts, from the moment we entered the door and they made us feel right at home. Very comfortable bedroom accomodations with private bath, but if you felt like socializing the...

This place really does feel like home. Sally and Dick deserve a lot of credit for creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is always fresh and good - even when Dick is at the stove. But the best thing about this place is Sally and Dick themselves. Not only are they fun to...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Carter Notch Inn the day after Christmas. After seeing all of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor we couldn't resist, and they were right! Sally and Dick were very welcoming and made us feel so comfortable in their home. Their affectionate dog Henry kept us company by the fire as we sipped on...

My husband and our friends spend the weekend with Sally, Dick, Henry and Lou-Lou. We loved the website...

This is a lovely B & B and as mentioned many times in other reviews, Dick and Sally are excellent hosts. Delicious breakfasts each morning, cookies as well as tea/coffee and drinks available whenever you felt like it, and Dick & Sally's recommendations for great local restaurants ensured we were well fed during our time there. Jackson and the surrounding...

Autumn in the White Mountains is something everybody should see, but be sure you stay in Carter Notch Inn! Jackson is a delightful village, far away from the North Conway crowds. Dick and Sally made the right decision to leave England and start their B&B is this beautiful part of the States. We had a most enjoyable stay with these...

When we arrived late in the early evening after a full day of driving, hiking, picture taking and enjoying of the scenery, we were greeted warmly by Sally, Dick and the other guests, all enjoying some wine and light snacks. We stayed in the smaller room - i think #9, but it was cozy and just right for us. I...
