It has been over a week now since my wife and I had the opportunity to travel from the Connecticut shore for a getaway to New Hampshire to view the leaves, explore the trails, and nourish the soul. Our memories still make us smile, made all the better by our choice to stay at the Carter Notch Inn and the...

We stayed for 5 nights as part of a tour of New England. The Carter Notch is a most delightful inn, set in a very peaceful location with great views. Jackson falls are just a short stroll away. Sally & Dick are excellent hosts and were very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helped us decide what was the best...

We have been vacationing at the Carter Notch Inn every October for 9 years. We absolutely love it! We are always treated like family and we have made many friends over the years at the Inn. Great places attract great people, and the Carter Notch Inn is a testament to that! The house is beautiful, the food is great, and...

After quite a long drive from Bar Harbor we were warmly welcomed by Dick at the Carter Notch Inn, he showed us round the house, helped us with our luggage and then offered us a cup of tea and homemade cookies (a facility that was available every day). Also, if you wished to partake of something a little stronger you...

Jackson, NH is an enchanted spot and the Carter Notch Inn is a magical place to stay. The inn keepers, Sally, Dick, Henry, the dog and Lulu, the cat all pitch in to make a memorable visit. The Inn is quaint, the breakfasts are wonderful, but most of all, the ambiance is charming, welcoming and friendly. Sitting on the great...

We stayed at Carter Notch based on reviews that we saw on google and it was absolutely perfect. All of our future trips to New Hampshire will be based around our stay at this Inn. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel completely comfortable. The food was excellent, the room was very clean, and we felt...

My wife and I have travelled all over New England, and this is our favorite B&B by far. If you have a chance to visit the White Mountains, this is the best place to stay! Location: Jackson is a quaint village surrounded by mountains everywhere you look. Carter Notch Inn is located away from the main road and across the...

A lovely, sprawling house with beautiful grounds and close proximity to picturesque Jackson Falls and the small town of Jackson (you could sneeze and miss it). Dick is a very friendly sort - a perfect soul for an innkeeper (Sally was back in the UK during our visit). We had Room #6 which is spacious and charming with modern bathroom...

I found this B&B surfing on the web. We have stayed at other Inn's and B&B's in Jackson in the past 2 years, but this one "by-far" exceeded our expectations. We had visited this Inn back in July for a tour (on our way back from a weekend in Maine) and we immediately fell in love with the charm and...
