This is a lovely B & B and as mentioned many times in other reviews, Dick and Sally are excellent hosts. Delicious breakfasts each morning, cookies as well as tea/coffee and drinks available whenever you felt like it, and Dick & Sally's recommendations for great local restaurants ensured we were well fed during our time there. Jackson and the surrounding...

When we arrived late in the early evening after a full day of driving, hiking, picture taking and enjoying of the scenery, we were greeted warmly by Sally, Dick and the other guests, all enjoying some wine and light snacks. We stayed in the smaller room - i think #9, but it was cozy and just right for us. I...

It has been over a week now since my wife and I had the opportunity to travel from the Connecticut shore for a getaway to New Hampshire to view the leaves, explore the trails, and nourish the soul. Our memories still make us smile, made all the better by our choice to stay at the Carter Notch Inn and the...

After quite a long drive from Bar Harbor we were warmly welcomed by Dick at the Carter Notch Inn, he showed us round the house, helped us with our luggage and then offered us a cup of tea and homemade cookies (a facility that was available every day). Also, if you wished to partake of something a little stronger you...

Jackson, NH is an enchanted spot and the Carter Notch Inn is a magical place to stay. The inn keepers, Sally, Dick, Henry, the dog and Lulu, the cat all pitch in to make a memorable visit.
