We stayed for two nights during NYE. We just slept here, didnt spend any other time here than we needed to. The price wasnt bad for a place to sleep. We stayed with two young kids, which was mentioned upon booking the reservation. They put...More

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and sharing your experience, I apologize that it was not the perfect stay and have relayed this to my team so we can learn from your review and improve the service.
There's old and historic, and there's old and tired, and Eagle Mountain House is definitely the latter. Old, peeling, creaky, musty, dusty, and crusty. The place looks as though no one cares. The food is weak. The service poor. If it's winter, it's better than...More
I got married here in October '14 and we were incredibly disappointed in the EMH's role and execution (or lack there of).
The biggest overarching thing I would say that really probably would have helped with all the major issues that came up is not...More
Lady M stayed here ten years ago & had been really looking forward to returning and sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the veranda. Sadly, she was so disappointed to find the place so run down & in need of a full refurbishment,...More
The Eagle Mountain House is a grand ol' inn located on a hill overlooking a golf course and meadows. It's simply beautiful inside and out. It's right on a country road, but there is negligible vehicle noise. The rooms are nicely decorated, the food is...More

I like Eagle Mt and would recommend it too. been there many times. We have Its a historic hotel and that is the charm. Lots of wood, wide hallways, radiators, an elevator with iron bar doors; a wooden bannister. Yes, the hotel restaurant has no atmosphere. Instead, try the Wildcat Tavern Inn in downtown Jackson. Very cool pub/restaurant with live music in the bar - they also have non bar sitting which is nice as well. There is another place as well to check out - the Shovel Handel Pub - that a bit outside of town, but deeper in the interior of the mountain/town. October would be a great time to visit - make a reservation and ask to be closer to on the upper floors, closer to the lobby side of the hotel. Otherwise, you'll have a long walk to less nice rooms.
