Having visited the area for only the second time, we were extremely happy with the B&B. Its off the beaten path, the facilities are wonderful and the breakfasts were very, very good. The hosts were extremely hospitabile and friendly without being intrusive. The grounds are immaculately kept as is the facility itself. The only thing that bothered me was that...

We have stayed here several times over the years. The property is "off the beaten path" but only a highly scenic 20-minute drive north of Hanover. We especially like: small but not too small scale establishment; attentive, friendly but not overly friendly management; delicious, high quality food without going to excess; very clean, comfortable, efficiently designed and appointed rooms without...

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful B&B for two nights. One of our sons from New Hampshire stayed one night. It was a quiet, peaceful spot, The owners we're friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed their company and their pets. One of the best we've been to and will definitely go back.

The B&B almost has the feel of a relaxed, small inn with a traditional looking exterior in an attractive, quiet, rural location. Inside the feel is of a more modern, functional interior. The hosts are quite helpful. The breakfast food is well above average, although the coffee was not. Our room, one of the lower end doubles, was large enough,...

Great place to stay when visiting Dartmouth College. They have a couple of rooms where pets are allowed to stay. Ours was comfortable and immaculate.

Best night's sleep I've had in a very long time. House is solidly built and very quiet (I've stayed in B&Bs where the walls and doors seemed to rattle with every noise and movement of the guests). Hosts went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and felt welcome. Set far back from the road (can't see...

I heartily recommend Breakfast on the Connecticut for anyone visiting Dartmouth College or the Upper Connecticut Valley. Donna and John are gracious hosts. The setting for the inn is a lovely, secluded spot from which you can watch the mist rise from the Connecticut River in the morning. Donna is a wonderful baker, preparing home made breads and pastries that...

I loved the Breakfast on the Connecticut! Staying there was extremely comfortable. John and Donna were very friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home. The rooms were clean and had a nice homey feel to them. Overall, the stay was so relaxing and I would definitely return and recommend The B+B to all people.

We stayed at Breakfast on the Connecticut last week when we were in the area visiting friends. The Inn is located in a beautiful secluded area overlooking the Connecticut river. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. In the morning we were served the best breakfast we have had in a long time. The eggs and sausage were fresh and cooked...

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at this Inn. I found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely! I did find it odd that the tub was in the room itself, but didn't find it to be an issue at all. Our room overlooked the Connecticut, an added bonus! I also...

“We were in a room just off the living room, on the first floor. At first we worried that it might be too noisy, we never heard a thing -- and since the living room was often empty, we used it as we would in our own home. Our room had a small deck, but we didn't use it.”
