The Inn is small, but charming, clean, and comfortable. The owners are most welcoming and helpful in a calm and pleasant way. Breakfast is served in the cosiest of dining rooms, overlooking lovely gardens. Off-street parking is so convenient, and since you are already in the center of the historic downtown, you can easily walk everywhere. This is the perfect...

This is a great, clean, welcoming inn with a great location to walk anywhere. Sally is awesome and the food is great. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend making a weekend in Portsmouth. Would recommend checking out went worth by the sea too which is a great area.

The Inn at Strawberry Banke has many things going for it. Great location; adjacent to the museum complex, a short walk from Market Square and the waterfront Prescott Park. Clean and comfortable rooms. Reasonably priced ($189), especially compared with the hotel chains. We stayed in Room 4; bathroom shower stall was a bit tiny, but it’s an historic structure, so...

I stayed here a week while in a conference last June. The conference was held at the Sheraton, which was about 60$ more expensive and w/o a breakfast. My employer would have funded each, so the price difference was not an issue to me. So it depends what you're looking for. I imagine that the rooms at the sheraton are...

When you book here, please remember you are staying in a historic house. Rooms are small, but have everything necessary. Sloped floors upstairs and creaky. Quaint shuttered windows. This inn is perfect though for a couple day stay in Portsmouth to enjoy the city, as it is less expensive than the bigger hotels and the location is perfect for walking...

My family of four spent a night at this delightful B&B last week and I can't say enough about the charming and very comfortable accommodations, the yummy homemade breakfast muffins (REAL muffins, not the overly sugary hunks of cake that pass for muffins today), and Sally, who has mastered the art of making her guests feel welcome and well taken...

We have stayed here before and once again had a great time. Sally was so nice and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. What we like best is the Inn has a back in time old Portsmouth feel but very well taken care of and Clean! Location does not get any better as you can walk...

We found this B&B online while traveling, and Sally was able to accommodate us within the hour. Building and furniture are old which is to be expected in a historic home, but the ambiance and the AMAZING breakfast made it a wonderful stay. Very comfortable bed but tiny little bathroom (room 7 upstairs). Sally has hospitality nailed!

We have stayed at the Inn at Strawbery Banke many, many times and have enjoyed every minute. In fact, if we can't get a room, we change our plans - that's how much we love the place. It's literally on the boundary of Strawbery Banke, very close to Prescott Park and the downtown and an ideal place to have as...

Overpriced. On one side of the bed there was very little space and there was no bedside table or lamp so I could not read in bed. The standard lamp did not work. Quite a good location and a friendly welcome.
