My experience at Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Portsmouth NH was stellar!! My room’s motif had a mid century chic flare!! I was there because my son was in the Portsmouth hospital, we are from out of town. The malls and restaurants are within a two mile proximity that made conveniences easily accessible. Robin, who works the front desk, was very helpful, kind and attentive. I would go back if there was a need in the future...
Wonderful customer service. Clean rooms. Friendly staff that easily addressed all the special accommodations that my party needed during our stay there. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if looking for value.
When we visit Portsmouth, this is where we always stay. The rooms are clean and affordable. We like the beds. It's close to ''everything'' and the staff is nice :) Hope we are allowed to travel again this year :)
While the Howard Johnson isn't luxurious, it's a fairly nice establishment. Clean rooms, good AC, nice TV, spacious beds. The front desk staff I met were friendly and helpful. The breakfast leaves something to be desired (during covid), but otherwise, it was a good and pleasant stay (2 nights).
Make sure to get a room facing the back of the property otherwise it will sound like you're in the middle of the highway. Rooms old but clean. Bathroom upgraded. Beds comfortable. Pillows, ugh. Bring your own. Price reasonable. Covid breakfast? Granola bar. There was a coffee maker in our room although desk clerk said there wasn't.
