We had only one night in the Perennial room, but after a long day of driving and leaf peeping, we felt so comfortable in our cottage that we didn't want to go out for dinner! Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday, the dining room was closed, and the nearby towns are very small. So you may want to plan your stay...

Perennial is one of our most popular rooms. The furniture was custom made for us in Quebec and the original painting is by a Sugar Hill artist. The natural travertine stone in the bathroom gives the room a timeless quality. Our restaurant is open 5 nights (Thursday-Monday) a week by reservations. It is important to give the chef a couple...

We really enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous inn in the white mountains. Karen and Steve have got this place just right - they were both welcoming as hosts together with their wonderful dog Katie who came to visit us in our cottage on a couple of occasions. Stayed in Forest View Cottage which had absolutely everything you might need...

Our Four Course Dinner is what really distinguishes us from the other Inns and B&Bs in the White Mountains. Some people are afraid that it is too much food but most guests tell us the portions are perfect. It is about quality not quantity. Our wine list has earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. After an enjoyable dinner all...

Great inn that has been restored and situated in a quiet location. Comfortable rooms - although we had one of the smaller rooms in the main house there are larger rooms and suites available. Good to have a coffee machine in the room. Comfortable communal areas with plenty of information of the local area and things to do. There is...

Thank you for staying with us. We think every B&B/Inn should have in-room coffee and breakfast choice.

Steve and Karen were unbelievable hosts. Even though we only stayed for one night it was a great experience. The dinner was scrumptious, the dinner was one of the best meals we've ever had. The room was so full of charm and character. I'm a huge Betty Davis fan and loved the time we spend in the room. I understand...

That is right. The movie star, Bette Davis was a frequent guest at The Sugar Hill Inn. The room that is now known as Lafayette was her favorite. Thank you for staying with us.

We stayed at Sugar Hill Inn for two days. The rooms were very nice and well equipped. They even have an espresso machine in the room. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Some rooms are better than others. We had dinner one evening there. The food quality was very good and very tasty. The dinner takes about 2.5 hrs...

Thank you for staying with us. For the benefit of the readers let me give some background. This family had three rooms. The kids were 16, 18 and 20 years old. At the Sugar Hill Inn we do not allow more than two guests per room or children under the age of 14. Our focus at the Sugar Hill Inn...

Steven and Karen Allen have been running this fabulous, authentic, historic B&B for a decade, and the facility is fabulous. Sugar Hill Inn is located on a rise overlooking the mountains around Franconia. When we visited in mid-October for two nights, it was the height of the autumn foliage colors, and the views at the Inn and in the local...

Thank you for staying with us and making this fall our best ever. The colors this year were fantastic. Last night we had the first dusting of snow on the mountain peaks and our amazing view has gotten even better.

Steve and Karen were the perfect hosts in this charming inn. Our room was clean and decorated beautifully and breakfast each morning was fantastic. Would highly recommend this inn if one is in the Franconia neck of the woods.

We went in peak season which is why the prices were so high- almost $400 for a small cottage room. The room was nice and had a nepresso and keurig. The room rate included a great breakfast which was served 8 am- 9:30 am. We did not really get the B and B vibe other people described with friendly conversation...

Thank you for staying with us. I am always surprised to see price discussed on TripAdvisor. It is the one fact that is completely known before booking. Our peak fall season is only three weeks long. If you want to stay at the absolute peak of color you will pay a premium everywhere in New England. No different than going...

We had stayed at Sugar Hill 15years ago and loved it. However Steve and Karen have improved it which is pretty impressive. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff friendly and the food delicious!
