This is a new favorite for our family. We love the menu. It's in a great downtown location. If the weather is good we always sit outside. The food is great. Service is always terrific. Good for adults and kids.
The food really does try hard, the burgers for example are well presented and put together but my medium burger was solidly well done. (To their credit the staff did offer to take half the charge off the burger but we refused). The pulled pork...More
Burgers are their house specialty and they are great! Portions are large and wait times are fine. The beer is excellent and go well with the food. Extra points for brewing a very nice red ale.

The Flume is behind the Cascade Lodge. The entrance is off the porch. The Flume is the only room in the Sawyer with direct access to the porch, not to say that it's restricted to Flume guests. There are chairs on the porch and would be fine for porch-sitting, when the weather conditions allow. Noise from the room next door ? Unfortunately, yes. But then again, how thick should the walls be made to muffle the voices and activities of some ill mannered, discourteous guests. We have stayed in the Flume on several occasions, and only on this last stay did we experience the latter situation.
